Covering 800,000 square kilometres of Argentina and Chile, Patagonia is the southernmost part of South America. It’s a place of extremes - of vast ice fields and snow-capped mountains; of windswept deserts and violent oceans. Survival here means being tough enough to cope with brutal winters, and canny enough to exploit brief seasons of plenty.
This film follows a year in Patagonia and sees animals survive in unlikely places. Guanacos, relatives of the camel, sit out snow storms in the Southern Andes. Winter is long and hard and pumas and foxes must scavenge to survive. But when spring finally arrives everything in Patagonia goes into overdrive to make the most of a small window of opportunity. An amorous armadillo struggles to get through his mate’s armoured defences; penguins come ashore to reunite with partners they haven’t seen for six months; even gauchos work hard to train horses they depend on for their livelihoods.
The shorelines teem with ocean giants. Elephant seals arrive on the beaches in their thousands. Males stage bloody battles to win mating rights over harems of females. Southern right whales come to the sheltered bays of Peninsula Valdes to give birth to young that weigh 1000 kilograms. Killer whales patrol the shores, beaching themselves in spectacular hunting charges, picking off naive sea-lion pups that have yet to learn what dangers await them in the oceans.
Autumn closes in all too soon and Patagonia’s wildlife braces itself for another tough winter in Southern America’s last great wilderness.

I am pretty sure National Geographic, as all these channels rip off content they have no permission or any remote involvement or affiliation to whatsoever, though they try and act like it’s their content somehow and selfishly plaster ads making money off content they don’t even have rights to and have to lie and deceive and change titles to not get deleted or in violation of copyrights … all these channels selfishly benefit from stealing content owned and produced by several of the reputable networks/ stations that rightfully own and produce them … I never report crap on social media , as I don’t wanna sit and get involved in drama or petty crap , but I despise how these people dishonestly profit and lie and try to deceptively benefit off content they have to change titles to and pretend they are somehow affiliated in any way to any of these rightful entities. They have this elevated sense of self importance and want people to think they’re some big deal or professional anything and all they are is just a random person with a KZbin channel ripping off other people’s work to profit deceitfully from … all they do is post existing content that in no way belongs to them and so many people unfortunately think these people are legit or had a thing to do with any of these films … and these channels often write lengthy descriptions in the comments, referring as if they’re part of the actual team of people who are associated with the content. They also refer to themselves trying to seek attention and have people think they’re a group of people, when it’s only one average random person trying to come off like a big deal , when All they are doing is uploading content they have no permission or rights to , to their little KZbin channel … yet they dang sure benefit selfishly .. and some have multiple channels and still plaster same exact videos, but different titles to avoid detection .. You may wanna search the actual legit networks for that info. And when these channels try to deceive and change titles , they still do no editing , so often. The real title/ production / narrator / writer of these videos will still be mentioned or rather , visible at the beginning or end of each video in the credits, so that may be the best way to begin your search

Sea gulls are overpopulated around the globe since people hit the scene. They follow fishermen getting bycatch and leftover scrapes from cleaning fish even at ports and docks. Before people they were just beachcombing scavengers with far fewer numbers and no access to deeper water seafood. To bring things back in balance more culling is needed.
