Patapon 4: Modern Warfare - April Fools Game Trailer

An exclusive preview to the 4th installment to the Patapon series for PSP.
A sneak peak at the next Patapon series installment, take a step into the Modern Era of the Patapon world. Where EarthEnd is found, all opposing armies are vanquished and all hostile creatures are destroyed.
Featuring all new game modes along with readapted minigames such as Bon Bon Lumberjack and Mine the Baby Mountain. Customize your armies with a wider variety of classes and weapons between ancient melee swords, arrows and spears to modern assault rifles and heavy machinery. Battle against opposing Patapon countries (including your friends) and claim the world for yourself!
(Okay seriously, it's a parody, if you haven't caught on to that yet.)
Long overdue for the original due date I had set, or as a good April Fools prank.
Nonetheless, after much fooling around and debugging, my dramatic comedic parody can finally go live! May have taken a little over 5 months, but it was well worth the fine tweaking to create such a fine project.
This project has also took the Daily First Prize on Newgrounds for 5/16/2011.

Originally made in PSP screen resolution (480*272), I've readapted this to 1280*720 as there are details in this video worthy of High Resolution viewing. This project was made 100% in Adobe Flash CS4.

Even with how old this parody is, i still think this is a good direction the series could've taken. Obviously not _exactly_ like this, but just the general idea of Patapon gameplay with modern day warfare (or at least medieval warfare). Patapon 3 seemed like it was already headed in this direction, given that it had cannons, laser guns, and chariots.

on patapon 1 they had mutant patapons, physical damaging tuba players amd horse riders patapon 2, they got robot arms, learned magic, and can ride birds patapon 3 they got one-wheeled chariots, cannons, shotguns, and lazers. god knows what they will learn next.

Man...this Trailer is rather inspiring, and good(for the most part(s).) at the same time. That Crab Battle seems very fair, yet kinda "Unique" for the Gameplay. Like the Assets/Drawings/Animations, as well! Even if this IS a Parody/Joke, and everything's changed, I still seem to like this. Good Job, mohawkade! You earned a 5/5!
