Forgiveness is the key to freedom. 5. Patawad (Moira dela Torre) - the final stage wherein you already let go of the person and everything. And now you only got yourself, this stage is about setting yourself free for all of the heaviness of the past. It is about your turn to have forgiveness to yourself. Even you acknowledged yourself that you already moved on, if you don't forgive yourself about your mistakes and regrets in the past, it still haunts you over and over again. Freedom and happiness is about forgiveness and acceptance of what happened and what has been done. 6. Paubaya (Moira dela Torre) - even though you have done everything, you already forgave everyone and yourself, accepted and embraced the pain, there are still a lot of questions unanswered. So at this stage,"Paubaya" refers to the thought wherein you just knew that the reason you two broke up is having a third party. That you are just the second best, the option, and the first but not the last. You also realized that, those things doesn't matter because the important thing is, you have done your part where you loved someone wholeheartedly without doubts and hesitations. And also, your questions are now answered so it doesn't haunt you anymore because it is your choice to "magpaubaya". It is your choice that you chose yourself to heal and to get up. And also, it is your chance to manage and fix yourself up. To everyone who's reading this, there might be a lot of process for you to fully move on with the heavy baggages you carry on with your hearts. Although it is a long and hard process, you can still learn a lot of lessons along the way until your wounds can fully heal and someday, someone will fill up the void inside your heart. We just broke up yesterday after attending a mass. He started by saying "Love I'm so happy when you came in to my life. I'm sorry for each of the time I treated you badly." which I thought was sweet but the next thing he said tore me apart "I have to let you go because I don't love you anymore, so I shouldn't be lying to you. I have to do the deed and you deserve someone who can give you the 100% of himself". I've perceived this one coming pero ang sakit parin. I'd like to think that it was God's way to ground us with the reality that lead us into a peaceful mutual break up. We already knew from the start that "us" won't work but instead forced ourselves to the point that it made us unhappy and lost our desire to fight for the love we had. The love was gone and we are just staying for convenience. We agreed to go on our separate ways for our individual growth but Moira is right, even if you know the reason is for the betterment, the pain of separation will still demand its existence so we have to honour the pain and give ourselves a chance.

This is so painful. 4 years ago i lost my partner in life for 10 years by car accident. This is so sad. I remember the day when I seek closure from him, he left without saying we’re over. He left me hanging. Holding on to his words that turned into an unfulfilled promises. Listening to this while looking at my man while he's still asleep. He broke my heart into pieces when he cheated on me, 😢 Yes we are still together I forgave him but the pain and the trauma still andito pa din. I can't let him go, even though I know deep down in my heart he's not worth it. I still choose him every day because he is the only man who can give me genuine happiness. 😢 It hurts. I have other nationality boyfriend we've been 3 years and still counting😘. Mag mahal nang ibang lahi ay subrang napaka iba, lahat ng adjustment andoon na pero subrang worth it, kasi nasa kanya na ang hinahanap ng mga kababaihan sa panahon ngayon, and I'm so bless to have him in my life 🙏😊.
