The first map of the doom mod going down which is called going up which is a joke about its whole theme but which name if taken alone might have been mistaken for the whole opposite of the mod or a half life mod which is about going up a tower which is the exact opposite of the mod named going up since in that doom mod you're going down the tower but the half life mod about going up must not be mistaken nor for the first map of the doom mod going down named going up since it shares an ascension theme nor with the doom mod going down. Good luck to understand that.

@Brett Bates year late, but i feel the need to say the majority of early 3d games like duke nukem (i speak of doom clones, mostly) actually do have a proper z axis, the code usually just isnt able to handle two “floors” in one “room” (usual concept of something the doom engine for example cannot handle is having a platform jut out of a wall)
