When he saved his father from a Twilight's Hammer assassin he was approximately 11 yrs. old. When he stood toe to toe against Garrosh he was about 13 - 14 yrs. old. Now he's carrying the weight of the crown, the Alliance and a world war on his shoulders. Any one that thinks this young man doesn't have balls is an idiot.

I love how they framed Anduin's face throughout the entire video from an angle so it looked softer, he looked younger and more like the boy king. But at that end part it looks him directly head on and he's got his father's sharper and more hard-lined face.

We've seen this kid grow from standing next to Bolvar Fordragon in vanilla. For him trying to push his boundaries and explore in cataclysm. To him being a diplomat in Pandaria. He had the chance to poison Garrosh Hellscream with poisoned food in War Trials, and he refused! But now, we see him a rising king. It gives me goosebumps to think that some of us were with him since the very beginning, and have seen his rise. They say men with dreams to be a king, one should first be a man. But in Anduins case, he has almost grew up all on his own. May he follow in the legacy of Anduin Lothar (the lion of Azeroth.) Anduin, Varian, and his mother would be proud. #FortheAlliance

Arthas started to doubt he could save his people, he abandoned the light in search of something that could save them and in doing so the light refused to stand with him.

Bravo to everyone who worked on this cinematic. The music, the atmosphere, and the goddamn voice acting/direction is so incredible in this one. Normally there's an excitement to them in tone, but this one is entirely focused on Anduin growing as a character and rising to this challenge. The voice actors convey so much emotion in just the way they say the name 'Anduin'. The way Velen says it at first is almost a sort of sad pride. He's sad Anduin has to see such horrors, but he's proud of him for pushing himself to understand what is at stake and what they face. The way Genn says it after Anduin loses hope is almost like a parent consoling their child after they lose someone or something horrible happened. And the look on his face when Shalamayne lights up for him. So incredible.

He will go and do what's right but what he is dealing with personally can also get in the way. So he sometimes says or does things that were not the best. He's willing to stand by the king but also has his own opinions and doesn't seem to be just waiting around for orders. He's got a lot of good in him but there are demons hiding as well. I've learned and become pretty invested in his story ever since Legion dropped. I've always gotta wonder what's coming next.

Genn is such a well developed character. He starts out relatively indifferent to other kingdoms, insecurity made manifest by trying to be his father rather than his own man, thinking that accepting help was weakness and being verbally abrasive. Yes, he was harsh on Anduin initially but once Anduin expresses that he's scared of being king, Genn realizes what needs to be done. He explains to Anduin that he only needs to be inspired by his father to always try his best. In this moment we see Genn rise above his flaws that I listed earlier. I came her after watching the "Battle for Azeroth" cinematic. At this point I can say: Anduin Wrynn is the best character in WoW.

Keydiam as a Horde, I agree wholeheartedly. After the events at Teldrassil, I like him more than Sylvanas (and Sylvanas was a favorite of mine since WC3)

Just saw this for the first time in game and it gave me goosebumps. Good Job blizzard. Anduin has had the best character development in the game. It feels very much like the the fabled Heros Journey and I can't wait to see him become the king he is destined to be!

Whoever their composer is - makes this an amazing cutscene. Awesome stuff seeing this boy turn into a man.

Way better than the entire dragonflight expansion. Titans > incarnates. Legion > DragonFlight.

You can see Varian's fire in his eyes as Anduin moves to stand up. He truly has become the king the Alliance needs. Also: how amazing is it to see Anduin grow up into a man?

All children are a direct representation of their parents. All children are but a shadow of their parents accomplishments until they finally grow up into proper adults, even if that requires the death of the parents themselves in order for the children to rise to their ultimate potential. So is the charge of being a parent, so is the task inherited by our children. Let not the past actions of family be the goal, but the future actions of our youth path the way to greater glory. So is, our charge in life.

Velen and Genn Greymane: two old advisors who have each lost their son to evil. Anduin: a young man who has just lost his father because of said evils. These three are an interesting character dynamic now, and hopefully they'll continue to be so.

While the horde may get a coolness factor and events that the Alliance just doesn't, this small questline gave the alliance something that the Horde never got. The true passing of the crown to the next leader, and proper character growth.
