Wow, this is beautiful! Just now discovering your channel and now I want a Moog sound studio even more!

Great sounds and very informative. I just got my mother-32/subharmonicon ordered. So excited to try some of this stuff out. Thanks so much for the video.

I'm here because of that Sonic remix, just checking out the channel. Holy moog Bat Man, I had no idea what Syllix actually does. This was as total trip.

Hey, I appreciate you coming to check it out. My synth stuff is pretty different from my old sonic remixes, but now I've been using my synths for remixes as well. Maybe it's time for a Moog sonic remix??

@@SyllixMusic Appreciate your reply just as much! I watched you going to town with a Subharmonicon - if anyone ever asks what "impressed" means, refer them to this comment. You got a fan in me! edit: Yes, more game OST remixes. Just yes!

@@SyllixMusic I love this! It is beautiful. It’s making me dig the Subharmonicon. I have the Mother-32 and DFAM. How are you liking your Subharmonicon? Is it definitely still being used in your setup?

@@SyllixMusic no, thank you ;) so.. what's the trick? I'm starting to think I'm barking up the wrong tree and the timbre's the reverb or delay
@SyllixMusic3 жыл бұрын
@@Lcrymlgy Specifically for something plucky? It's all in the ADSR envelope. On the Mother 32, set the attack to zero (all the way left), turn the Sustain off, and set the decay for how little or how long you want the "tail" of the sound to be. For the Subharmonicon you have more control because you have Attack and Decay for both VCA (amplitude) and VCF (the filter). Same idea though. Very fast attack (knobs all the way left) and then adjust the VCF and VCA decay as desired. For more plucky, keep the VCF decay rather short, and you can get away with having the VCA decay a little longer than that. Hope that helps! Don't forget, the manual provided by Moog has a lot of useful information in it. Keep exploring and have fun!

So you didn’t clock sync them I see. You let them do their own thing?
@Truth1nNature3 жыл бұрын
Do you record them as separate tracks or in one? If in one, how do you do so when they only have 1 output each? I am trying to figure this out. Otherwise, I guess the only way to get reverb and have them synced is to use plugins and not external pedals.
@SyllixMusic3 жыл бұрын
Separate tracks. One synth goes into input 1, the other into input 2 on my audio interface. In Logic Pro I record the audio coming in from each input onto two different tracks. This allows me to mix them accordingly, adjust volume, add reverb or delay to only one, or both, etc.
@Truth1nNature3 жыл бұрын
SyllixMusic Got it, thanks for sharing! Mine will be here in 2 days. Stoked and hoping I can figure it out! But something tells me not to get my hopes up to sound like you. You are clearly on a whole other level. Lol

@@Truth1nNature Thank you! I felt the same way moving away from working in the box to my first synth - how the heck do I create sounds like the people on KZbin? What do all these knobs and buttons do? It's a slow, natural progression where you constantly play, explore, and learn. And it's loads of fun :)
