I feel it is relevant that Zelda team loves to reuse flags across maps and saves (it’s for heavy optimization and is the reason they have been able to do what they have done despite having limited hardware in each generation) which is something that been abused in every single 3-d Zelda title. So while they are not directly looking flag codes yet you can’t say they going about it blind. This glitch just makes it so the placement of the weapon is not reset and the two locations just so happen to have access spots at the same location.

Pro tip of you're having trouble getting the sword to show in the new game. Instead of 2 rocks, I use the treasure chest located nearby on top of a column. I use the treasure chest instead of small rocks to fuse to the boulder.

I just put another large boulder on top of the first one. Worked first try. Doing this jump nonsense isn't required either and just makes it needlessly complicated. Just walk somewhat close to the wall from on top and do the dupe glitch from there.

I think the BIGGEST thing to tell people, after 20+ failed attempts, is that you KNOW you did the pause-unpause fast enough if you can see Link STILL HAS the first weapon on his back when you go to drop the second equipped weapon. If you can see that weapon FALLING ON THE GROUND, you did it wrong and should just pick them up and try again. If it's STILL ON HIS BACK you did it.

so i ended up using a couple different tips from different videos hehe -used the small rock on boulder from this video -someone mentioned using an extra-long weapon (like two spears fused together) to get better spawn rates beneath the castle -taking out the master sword on the stairs and letting it clip into the stairs a bit seemed to work more than having it sheathed -once i had it and moved on to overwriting the damage, i was getting really frustrated because the game refused to glitch. eventually i realized it was probably because I was using two of the same sword (knight’s sword, in this case) and once i swapped to another sword i was able to successfully complete the damage overwrite (for example, instead of master sword > knights sword > knights sword, i ended up going master sword > rusty sword > knight’s sword) overall for my first experience delving into glitches, this was really fun! good luck to everyone trying!

Got the transfer to work second try, got the fusion to work first try - amazing guide. Tip for those stuck on the re-pause: don't mash. The game seems to have some small amount of input delay upon unpausing, so give it ~0.25 of a second. If you timed it right, you should hear the unpause sound followed immediately by the pause sound, with no overlap.

Took me a few hours of experimenting to get the ++ duplication glitch to work in general. I think the best advice that I can give is that you do NOT want to press + as fast as you can... there is a rhythm to it which is definitely not as fast as I can press the button; pressing the button too quickly will result in the menu only being closed and not re-opened. You want to press + the 2nd time pretty much as soon as the menu starts closing (or within a few frames)... to me the rhythm almost feels like a calm heartbeat. Specifically for duplicating weapons/bows/shields the item(s) must be equipped before opening the menu to perform the glitch. I've had most success by equipping via the d-pad menus and then executing the glitch. Opening the menu, equipping the item you want to dupe and then executing the glitch does not seem to work. Duped/transferred items are dropped at the coordinates that the player was at when the item was dropped, not where Link spawns in the loaded save. So transferring the weapon to the Intro Save has pretty precise positioning and if its not just right the weapon can clip out of the map. I recommend making your hard save for the intro on the stairs near where the transferred weapon will spawn so you can hear if it clipped out of the map (happened to me a few times before I got it to work). Using long weapons is also helpful, I used a spear fused with the claymore from the shrine.

Very good, easy to understand step-by-step guide. Love the video! I like fusing a Lynel mace horn to have high damage while not being too overpowering to ruin the game for me, as well as having the ability to bust ores and armoured enemies easier.

To anyone using Yuzu, emulating or otherwise, disable all mods. I think the 60FPS patch was messing with the glitch, as the weapon would always spawn in the world behind link on the pause screen. Took me around 10 tries to get the smuggle into the cave to work, but all the steps after that worked first try. Thanks!

When I messed up I just swapped between the auto save from inside the shrine and after the cut scene from the new save file. After hours of experimentation, figured out how to reliably get the dual elemental master sword, it is 100% broken when paired with the fierce diety armor. You can't drop *any* master sword(even as part of the drop 6 weapons or shields) and can't fuse any materials to *any* weapon, as this will make *all* of your dual element swords to single, any elemental master sword in your inventory will automatically become dual, it seems to be random, if it looks like you only have one on a sword, it's double of that element. 1. Make 2 different elemental master swords, make 3 if you want more than one combo 2. Start making another as normal, in the last step instead of using the material make it fusable, use one of your elemental swords instead 3. Profit

@@ItzBrooklynboii The timing for the weapon transfer glitch is a bit tricky, as you can also fail by doing it too fast. If you get the correct timing and look at the pause screen background, you should see both the weapon you dropped and the one you equipped on Link's back. If you only see the first weapon you're too fast. Also, you can use it to transfer a weapon to any save file, not just the prologue. It will show up where you dropped it. This way you can practice the glitch, so you can figure out if you did the glitch right but are not standing in the correct place to make it show up on the stairs.

YOU NEED TO MENTION THIS ; to help with the timing spam un-pause pause before doing to the trick. For some reason it allows for you to reprise faster.

I followed the steps exactly and it worked for me. Palms sweaty doing it the whole time hoping i didn't mess up and lose my save files haha. Quick question though, once you do the zuggle glitch is that permanent, or can you undo it?? I'm wondering if I should wait to for a better fusion material before i slap it on the master sword.

Try the weapon dupe on the fake master sword so you can get another to test on lmao

Everytime I leave the shrine it reverts back to a stock master sword….do you by chance know what’s wrong?

You gotta save the game after you fuse it then leave the shrine and reload the save

you pretty much just have to make sure the autosave is still there before you make a manual save in the resarted game if the autosave isnt there just try again

Also if you're really worried about it, and you have Nintendo switch online, you can manually upload your save data to the cloud before trying this

Took a few tries to get the weapon to show in the new game autosave. Something I learned is your pause timing is good if you see little sparkles where the weapon is suppose to be and if you can’t pick it up even though you see the sparkles you just need to position better in the shrine rock jump phase.

I’m still struggling with the rock positioning, I’ve perfectly lined it up and jumped the same way he did but the weapon just isn’t showing up. I had it show up twice before but i couldn’t pick it up

Gleeok horns are your best bet. They don't have a cooldown so you can just keep swinging

It works just fine. When you drop the weapon, pick up the ms, switch to another weapon, then switch back to the ms, and it'll have the effect

So, a new tip, as I had struggled for probably 50 minutes. Try doing the unpause pause with multiple weapons. I ended up doing it with 4 weapons, and that got me the item spawning in other save. The first time I tried this with 4 weapons, it worked right away!

The "Fake Master Sword" is a item in the game file. The Shield he has is prob also the same. They are saying MsgNotFound cause it's a separated item. My bet it's item Id hash 0 w/e. maybe. They didn't program item ID text for it to grab. The next set of glitches is a data transfer. Whats happening is in simple terms the saves are colliding item data. cause what the game likes to do is keep articles in neat sections for recall. So your gear, etc. are tracked. When you load a save it's grabbing a data picture. Though you might notice. It reset things so they are back in spot. Even from a normal save. Auto Saves I recall...don't obey the same logic as Hard Saves. which lets him transfer items from one save to another. TL;DR. It's a different item. Master sword is prob right next to IntroMasterSword. And Intro Hylian Shield.

So , I tried this glitch using other tubers videos. And probably my fault, but I was just following directions. They failed to mention do hard save first. So I just went in with a auto save . Guess what happened? I lost my progress and had to start over. I was so mad. This morning I was like dang since I started over I will try again. After doing the whole sky island all over again. I forgot to hard save again. Had to start over. So now I'm just gonna get master sword without this glitch.

For anyone who hasn't updated their game like me, i'd recommend you use two long sticks instead of two handed weapons tried for about 30 minutes using two handed weapons only for it to work with 2 spears fused to each other on my first try and second too!

make sure to save after you get the sword and reload. Do the same AFTER fusing and you should keep the buffs

Did this with the Gerudo Broasword and the mastersword now has 120 damage 😂 because of the perk from the Gerudo weapons

How did you get the damage to carry over? Because once I had the scimitar of the seven in hand, (Frankenstein) I used a Lionel Horn. And went to 120. But when I dropped the weapon. It was back at 85

Sadly, you can’t do this anymore as when you try to pause and unpause quickly and you get the timing right if you try to drop the second weapon, the drop button is completely grayed out. I think they finally patched that out so this cannot be done anymore. This test was done as of May 29.

The part were you say make sure the auto save with the rocks in back ground is in your saves file is what did it for me the whole glitch work after i did that.
