I finally got a beard! It was such an amazing journey!!! For the past 8 weeks, I used the FollicleBooster beard growth kit and I had AMAZING results by almost doubling my beard thickness. I bought the kit from Amazon USA.

Just let the beard grow for atleast 2 months without trimming, shaping, etc. Then you will see which areas are strong and which are patchy. But most guys shave it off after a week or two because it doesnt fill in or grow evenly. You have to give it time.

@Mondrir3 жыл бұрын
@@Ben_117 Minoxidil will try to grow out hairs where it can, I was a bit sloppy when applying mine and have hairs coming out on top of the cheekbone just below the eye so you can apply it specifically in one area, and no, once you've got results you only need to keep applying it for a month or two afterwords then you can stop, it's been months since I've touched minoxidil and still got a beard going despite summer shedding. Keep in mind tho, it isnt a 1 size fits all, some have quicker results while others may take a while to see even peach fuzz. Good luck!

Most guys with moderate patchy beards/bald spots WILL grow hair in those areas. It just takes time for the peach fuzz to grow thicker and eventually longer. It will take time for those hairs to grow even. Also those hairs may never grow out even at the same time your dominant hair grows. One thing is for sure if you have a moderate patchy beard. With age you will grow more hair. Some guys can grow at 18 while others can finally grow a beard at 45. I just turned 47 and this is my first time attempting to grow a beard. I was surprised on how much micro hair is starting to grow underneath/in between longer beard hair. Many guys can grow a beard but will never know because guys keep shaving. Some beard experts will tell you don’t shave it, keep growing it. One thing that I do is trim the neck and some cheek hairs. Maintain it neat and groom it with a brush. Once it grows too long trim it with clippers but put a guard (#2) and lightly trim the outer parts. That way you can save the small hair to grow and look even with your longer hair. You can also dye your beard. Blonde guys Red heads or older Latino guys with grey hair (hair turning reddish into grey). This can help the light color hair and grey hair look thicker and full. If you’re Asian (many Asians cant grow beards) or non Asian and can’t grow a beard. I’m sorry, it’s the DNA. You can get a hair transplant, but that costs $5k - $10k. It might look unnatural. Also if you lose hair and may want to get a hair transplant on your head. You will have less donor hair. Remember gentlemen beards are always in style but now it’s a trend. So don’t worry next year will be about clean shaven. If you grow a full beard but want to get rid of it. Don’t razor shave!!!!! Trim down to stubbles. In case you might regret it, but you don’t start from scratch. You made your entire beard more even. You will grow a thick even looking beard the second time around. All I can say is women seen to like or dislike beards. However, from what I know (my wife and female friends say) a 3 o’clock shadow/stubble. ALL women like that as long as you’re groomed and take care of your appearance. Stubbles is something most guys can get. What helps grow your beard is exercising, eating healthy, eating eggs salmon antioxidants.

I definitely agree. I have a spot right under my chin/ goatee area where the underchin hair grows that didn’t start to actually grow until a few months ago. Its really starting to grow in thicker there now so i can actually grow out my beard. Im about to hit 2 months now after doing almost a full restart. Looking to to decide if i want my beard to be more full or sharp once it gets to about 4-6 months of growth.

A biotin supplement will work. Even though I shave my head, it grows in faster now than before. I can say the same for my beard...however, due to an untimely trimming accident, I'm back to square 1 on that. But usually after 2-3 weeks, it starts to look fuller and better than it did before I started biotin. And he is right about the multi-vitamin. That's all beard supplements are.

I've used biotin most of my life cause it makes the hair on my head grow way faster and my nails. But it does not effect my beard. It's thin around the front of the chin and cheeks, and then long under the chin and and jaw line. I use oils, balms, etc, I brush through it everyday with a boars hair brush and I've been growing it for the past 2 years, I've trimmed it down and made everything even at the same length. Basically everything stated in this video I've tried, but never Rogaine. I always thought it was a regrow or something, but how do you regrow whats already there. Its the only other thing i haven't tried. Any other options. Shaving it completely isn't an option. It took long enough to grow to where its at and that's with the trimming 2 times a year.

Just takes time sometimes but my question is about the boars hair brush, ive been using one for going on almost 2 years now and though it does give a fuller and more kempt look, it hasnt yet seemed to train my beard hair to grow a certain way. Is that something thats gonna take a while?, or am i doing something wrong?, lol or may it just not work for everyone well? Thanks.

Great summary with some actionable details. If trimming a beard short, one should also consider carefully shaping the neckline and cheek lines to best define the pattern with some symmetry and style. A clean trim to a Riker, circle beard, or goatee can play to your beard's strengths to make it look sharp and intentional, not a lazy afterthought. Even so, being patient for length to develop has paid off for many men whose seemingly short patchy beards have filled in nicely to look full and complete. And age can often transform young, patchy, thin coverage into a full, mature forest. Never too old to try for the bearded life. I wouldn't toss out the beard comb, though. Even with a short beard, and definitely with a longer one, a beard comb can do a quick clean up in a jiffy, and it's a lot easier to keep a comb in your back pocket than any beard brush I've seen. But the good quality beard brush is definitely an essential part of every beardsman's kit.

A horse hair brush is really too soft. Horse hair is mainly used for polishing. Pig bristles are much stiffer and better suited for brushing. A barber uses boar's hair brushes on your head and beard for grooming, then uses a horse hair brush to sweep the hair from your face and clothes. Long bristled horse hair brushes are also used for sweeping dust and debris. They're very popular in woodworking because they are soft and don't scratch wood but clean very well.
