Mr. Scott talked his way into paying that money because he wouldn’t shut up and thought he was so smooth. If he hadn’t a said anything he wouldn’t have had to pay anything because she was going to make the girl prove that they had an agreement to pay half or pay it back and if she couldn’t provide the proof the judge would have basically said there is no way then to prove that it wasn’t just a gift or something.
