People can grow and change through prayer and consistency. My husband was raised by his single aunt because his mother passed when he was a child, so she really loved him and their bond was like having her sister. She hated me, because it was like I took him from her; as a matter of fact at the wedding when the pastor asked about objections to the wedding, she cleared her throat😯. But God...I wanted my children to have both sides of their family in their lives so I took the high road. I never said anything offensive about her, I showed loved when she was calling me all kinds of names, behind my back of course I was hurt. I let her know and she apologized. We celebrated 31 years of marriage and in 2018 she told me she loved me, thought I was funny and could light up a room😯. Now that shocked me. As a mama bear I get it her initial response to me, the protective love of a mom (sometimes over). No one would have thought we could eat lunch together, go to concerts, etc, yet here we are...If either of those involved in the paternity case are willing to die to self every now and then, they can make it work. Btw, my mother in-law/aunt in-law's personality is similar to his mom's. With God all things are possible
