The extra power charge for charge staff does work but doesnt give more than max power charges. If you consume 1 u get 2

Im sure people are shouting it at you but there is a spirit skill called combat frenzy it gives you a frenzy charges when you shock/ignite/freeze that with" resonance" on the passive tree which turns frenzys into power charges makes it INSANELY more comfortable to get charged statf.

Sadly it doesn't work with shock, but electrocute... that's why I am not using it atm.

@y_rnd you're right! It's freeze but freeze can typically be applied with shattering palm

@@Felixuwuowo I think it's 6? but thats shorter than charged staff's duration and the support that gives a chance to gain extra charge works well. It's 100% up time as long as you can reliably freeze

Profane ritual and Siphon strike best way to get power charges also that passive node does allow you to consume extra charges my charged staff has an uptime of about 35 seconds

one with the storm may be bugged with certain support gems. I'd recommend messing with them.I haven't tried it but i know in some other videos i saw people having issue. Nice build

You should always Mantra of Destruction + Falling Thunder to get massive Chayula Flames

I had the same mind. I was 100% sure to pick acolyte. But I am struggling very hard to make use of his ascendencies. He feels extremely dumb to build. The whole skill tree seems to be laid out for invoker, there is very very little room for acolyte build. You are forced to go elemental damage, basically you become a hybrid acolyte. That really sucks and is sad for me. I refunded so many passive skillpoints to make chaos monk somehow work. I also tried to to expand the duration of flames of chuyala buffs by picking increased skill duration but it doesn't do anything, it stays on the 10 seconds duration...I swear, I am regretting that I picked Acolyte. I want to edit, that after testing and trying to keep the flames of chayula rolling, it just doesn't work. Even with Mantra of Destruction it is completely impossible to keep the stacks. And as said, you cannot expand the duration of it by the skill tree for some unexplainable reason. It is honestly kind of taking the fun away for me.

@@thebiglebowski6965 I'm going to be putting out a couple more videos later this week most likely one maybe even two tonight. I am making another acolyte because of how messed up the tree on this character has become. I put my poe 1 dented brain to work over the last couple days. I think into the breach needs a pretty big buff I'd like if the flames auto absorb or move towards you while within the breach radius. It would play into his fantasy of being an acolyte imo.

@@ExiledVessel They just have to make the buff duration expandable. So that after you put some points into skill effect duration, the buff could reach maybe 15-20 seconds. And Mantra of Destruction needs to be adjusted heavily. It is utterly useless. If that skill would actually deal damage and be able to execute you could hold the buff duration and the build would be playable. You could farm for money and refund the skill points. I think it would actually take less time than starting a new monk. Except you want to go for new skills and new gear aswell. I am considering the same.

im on chonk also and from what i can tell we are just a weaker invonker. Im running the Ice strike + the frenzy = power charge (conduit)(with freezing palm or chayluma palm that puts snipers mark curse +enfible) set up and the game has been a blast. but overall defences are very poor but blastin in dps. i took the nodes where take dmg from mana as i plan to maybe take MoM but i feel like ill just use that as my secondary defense layer and not have to travel so far.

​@lucagenovese7207 the giga brain move would be to equip bow as 2nd weapon. I looked at skill gems, and bows have more opportunity to electrocute by far. Anyway that's how I plan to fix this

@@undeadspez ye i tried that ( i have a bow as secondary since the beginning of the game ) even if not extensively. I d say that is pretty clunky...yesterday i managed to try the freeze / resonate tech and it work like a charm, like you literally gain charge while hitting the bell...you cam have 100% uptime on charged staff easy

The issue is there is no decent phys skill in the game. Everything is 60%-100% converted. That’s why CHONK is ranked F tier. All the nodes are just meh and too conditional.

@@Eqnotalent no secret, I meant embrace the darkness. Lots of damage If you don't take damage. But if you do, you do way less dmg. It's... Inconsistent deluxe

You need a single ability that can kill a large amount of mobs else it does nothing. It's a much worse version of Unbound Avatar.

yep invoker is the better ascendancy

The ascendancy says "gain %of damage from hits as chaos", so lightning works.

Darkness just protects your life/es, so you lose it instead of life/es. It's like a barrier between mobs and getting one shot. You're sacrificing your spirit for basically flat life that is situational.
