They'll be making the trade site better down the line by adding "Psuedo Total" searches, which will speed things up for low-mid items you want to search for quickly, but I think (and hope) this guide will be useful for a long time to come as a "Core PoE 2 skill guide" - so I hope it helps! AND this is my first video with another one of my new Editors, introducing TITANLFG! Since you seem to be making videos geared toward newer players, have you considered making one about knowing whether an item is good or not? And I guess somewhat related is knowing when to use your crafting resources.

One thing I'd add. If you are using Path of Building, you can highlight and paste items directly from the trade side into it to see what it will do for your build. Just make sure you copy it from the default view, and not either compact one.

Proper offline trading system in both games are long overdue. Having to interrupt playtime in order to manually perform a trade i very unnecessary in 2025 and is the one thing that ruings the joy of playing the game. I usually never sell more than 10-20 items during a whole league due to this primitive system. It ruins all the fun and unless addressed I am not sure I will play PoE 2 even though I have many thousands of hours in PoE 1. They can keep the old system if they like, but add possibility to sell directly from a special stash tab or player controlled vendor npc. They can exist in parallel and this addition could even use the normal trade site with the only difference being that some trades for single items are automated.

whats the difference between weighted sum and weighted sum v2? i noticed you used v2 in the video but is there a big difference?

V2 has some improvements in how it handles minimums on each specific stat - it will ignore the minimum of a specific stat if the item otherwise meets the overall minimum sum score. Not really anything that'll come up too often with the way we tend to use it.

Is there a good way to find the value for bulk tier 15 maps? I got 1 regular stash tab of extras I would like to sell but I dont think they orth 1 ex each. Maybe so just want to make sure.

PoE 1 and 2 are both fundamentally economic games, so trade is naturally a big part of it. PoE 1 Solo Self Found plays pretty well these days due to everything they've added over time to help you work towards your goals - I anticipate that will be the case in PoE 2's SSF in the future. In the meantime, the best I can do is make it as easy as possible for the people like yourself who don't love trading! While I love trading myself (not the friction of PoE's trade QoL issues, but rather the economic aspect of the game), I get why a bunch of players don't!

What I mean by this is that since people don't like trading low cost items late in a league, if you're not blasting from the beginning, you end up wasting a bunch of time whispering a bunch of people who don't actually want to sell, or are too busy to care. And that is purely because it requires them to take the time to manually invite you and trade.

Need the ability to switch between controller and mouse/kb. Trading sucks on controller, if you short press instead of long press when you are trying to trade it closes the trade and people blacklist you because they think you are scamming them. I can't even put stuff for sale in a shop tab because I have to completely log out and log back in with mouse/kb. Until they add an option to switch back and forth easily, I really can't enjoy or engage with selling my own stuff. I switch to mouse and keyboard to buy items from other people but selling my own gear if im mapping on gamepad isn't really a feasible option for me.

GGG needs to add an item exchange system like the currency one we have. They basically promised it when they should they would modernize... Why isn't it here already? Will they somehow not add it? It's so miserable to whisper people it's not 2000 anymore this sucks...

They promised Currency Exchange (and delivered) but have been pretty consistent in saying they don't want the equivalent for gear. I'd like to see it added too, myself. Keep in mind we went from a decade of no instant buyouts to the Currency Exchange just last year, they may need a bit more time to come around on this one haha

@@ZiggyDGaming I don't think you'll get very far arguing this point. There is a group of players who want bind on trade, so no flipping, and instant buyout auction house. Anything less than that they will just call you a boomer who isn't with the times. If bind on trade is a requirement for an Auction House, I don't think GGG will do it, but you see people who clearly have no passion for Path of Exile and it's vision telling GGG to just copy Blizzard. Isn't Blizzard the company people don't want GGG to follow in the steps of. All very confusing, and in the end there is no discussion to be had as the people you're talking to already made up there mind.

@@ZiggyDGaming There is a reason that defending the Diablo 3 refugees as innocent players who need their hands held never really worked out, some stuck around playing PoE1, but most simply got tired of not having the game cater to them and quit. The same will happen with PoE2, we don't need 600k concurrent league launches for GGG to be successful, and we definitely don't need to hold players hands when they don't want to assimilate themselves into the culture. Remember people demanded that Elden Ring get a difficulty slider, and it never did. These are the same types of players asking for an Auction House. They feel that because they are interested in the game, it must do everything it can to Cater to them, and not the other way around, or at least a happy middle ground.

You may need to ensure you ps5 account is linked up properly to direct whisper people from.the site but otherwise yes. I'd use a phone or tablet rather than the ps5 browser though.

I don't think I've ever picked up a piece of loot off of a mob that i actually equipped. I really dislike that fact. I do get valuable items.. then trade them for what I need. I'd much rather get something useful i can equip. Trading in this current economy is oppressive.

It is a serious problem with scammers and unidentified items. Any unique item should display the item name even when the rolls are hidden. Being scammed can make players quit since they know that the devs are allowing this so that players should feel the weight of trading and that scammers and false listings by price fixers will make trading a dismal experience since HC SSF is their golden standard which every aspect of the came should promote.

What's the scam? If it's not identified what's the scam? Just seems like a mistake? The new player would have to know that the unid base has a good outcome but not know it has a bad one, just doesn't seem like new player behavior but maybe I'm missing something

@ Bait and switch. It is harder to spot and some people fall for it. Say you list an unidentified Astramentis but place another similar looking unidentified item in the window you have to be more careful, and som inexperienced players may not be. Why else would anyone list unidentified Astramentises for cheap? They only have one roll and is cheap to divine. (in POE 2, the old one in poe1 is almost worthless)

This is the type of video that should have 3 million views on it and breed a new type of player who is interested in PoE2 and its unique take on the genre. Instead, this video is going to have tons of discourse from people saying, "That's nice and all, but just add an Auction house, this is 2025, no one has time to do all this." The people who need this video have already made it up in their mind that long term if there is no Auction House they will simply not play.
