You are right the added damage does not work but the % increased lightning damage modifier does. The added lightning damage wouldn’t do much anyways because archmage adds a ton of flat lightning damage to your spells.

Considered Casting doesnt work in cast on shock. They patched that 2-3 patches ago, atleast it said so in patchnotes. Did I miss something? Ive seen several other builds that still use it. Have you tested it?

Hey i play a verry simular build too with some more expensiv items. Biggest potential for you is getting higher mana on Wand Focus and Amulett. I know its expensive but i think around 1000mana should be possible with that alone. thats 90% more dmg with Archmage level 21. Also you could upgrade the gem on your tree in the midle top with the big circle to an even larger one so you can get the 3%mana and 14% lighning dmg note from tree.

I use soul offering when swapping to weapon slot 2. Archmage is still used in weapon slot 1. Soul offering effect has 3-4 sec effect after they expire.

Lightning damage crits rolls twice inside the calculation. So when u damage the enemy in the game will check two times and choose the highest damage instead.

Magnitude. Chance to shock and magnitude of shock are both factors. The higher the damage of a hit will make it more likely to proc shock. Magnitude makes that hit bigger, but not in damage only in proc formula. So if you hit a 100 on the enemy magnitude buffs can make the formula for shock see it as 2000 thus making it proc more likely.

How does Soul Offering boost Spark when Spark is on Weapon 1 and Soul Offering is on Weapon 2? When you switch to Weapon 2 to activate Soul Offering, doesn’t it lose its boost to Spark as soon as you switch back to Weapon 1 to cast Spark again? Or am I missing something?

soul offering is an area of effect buff, so you are getting buffed if you stay inside its active area zone, it does not provide buff when cast, but when in the area

You need to summon 2 Skeletal Warriors first, to be able to sacrifice them.

set summon skeletal cleric, or whatever it's called. set it to summon 2 of them on weapon set 2. Now when you use soul offering(also set to weapon set 2) it will swap weaponsets, and summon 2 clerics automatically. then you hit offering again, while aiming at the clerics, they die, you get insane damage for 4 seconds. Now click Spark, which you have set to weapon set 1, so it autoswaps back to 1, then keep sparksparksparking for 4 seconds. o and archmage should be set to set1 only, that way you have the spirit to summon the clerics on set2

offering+ 2 skel clerics are set to weaponset2, spark/archmage are on weaponset1. Now when you press offering it switches to set2, turns off archmage, summons your 2 clerics. Hit offering again to kill the skels, then click spark which is set1, it auto swaps back, archmage turns on when it swaps you back to set1 and you just blast sparks with nutty damage for 4-5 seconds

I’ve been running this build for quite some time, and I believe there’s room for significant improvement without much additional investment. The priority should be upgrading your jewel-aim for one with Magnitude of Shock and Magnitude of Ailment. The maximum value is 35%, which can greatly enhance your effectiveness. Use Spark to apply shock and Orb of storm to apply exposure is more efficient as Spark can hit single target multiple times but OoS chain only hit once, tooltip damage is deceiving too, the real damage come from Lightning Conduit if you max out magnitude, it is 4000% more damage Consider using a high-mana wand instead of focusing on cast speed, as cast speed isn’t very effective for this build. Additionally, fast mana depletion leaves you vulnerable due to reduced defensive layers. A higher mana pool is crucial to offset the 50% reduced mana recovery rate caused by Mind Over Matter. You can also optimize your skill tree by cutting the long path to Lightning Rod, potentially saving several points. Allocate these points to the jewel slot at the top left, under All Natural. This area offers 18 small passives that provide 22% maximum mana and plenty of fire resistances for 19 points with many beneficial stats, which synergize well with your Against Darkness jewel. Another upgrade to consider is swapping Invocated Efficiency for Energize. Energy gain is more beneficial, as increased spell damage for triggering spells is minimal compared to the massive buff from shock effects. The goal is to gain energy as quickly as possible. The ultimate state for this build would include 200% capped Magnitude of Shock, a high mana pool, fast mana regeneration, and damage scaled from a level 21 Archmage gem. I hope these tips help strengthen your build!

Simple, the cost, it cost 10 divine to annoint lightning rod. If you go all the way around the tree to get it, you int stack which is more base mana for your items to scale off of.
