Hey man, great guide as always! I'm gonna repeat my comment from the last one you did for Chayula Monk since I think anyone not playing SSF could make use of it: For anyone trying this out: heavily recommend spending 1 exalted on Ghoswrithe for the chest, it adds pretty much 1k energy shield, and 30%+ chaos res, it will be much cheaper to acquire than the chest piece on the planner and you can use it from pretty low level as soon as you get the Eternal Youth perk. To be honest, I'm pretty sure it's close to BiS for this build, since it relies almost entirely on energy shiehd + potion for defense, idk if maybe Wudi didn't know about this one or it's technically slightly better to use the piece he's listed on the planner, but in terms of cost/benefit, it's definetively the best chestpiece. Hope it helps someone.

The chest significantly drops your Evasion tho. My chest piece has about close to 800 evasion rating.

Thats not that good in my opinion. Less movement speed and no evasion at all which both is pretty important

@@Loyalitaeterr idk what chest you've seen out there that comes wirh movement speed, but I haven't seen a single one. The chest he recomendd on the planner has no evasion either. Evasion goes on boots and gloves but ok.

@morgothkj the. Your energy shield must be under 2k. And evasion under 90% is not reliable to save you only good for mitigation.

@@TheBangooman I mean the -3% of movement speed on the chest. I mean it's not that much but it's still less movement speed. Also - as a Monk skilling into the ascendency where you get spirit from evasion and energy shield of your body Armour kinda makes it necessary to me. But this can also be because I upgraded to get enough spirit for a fourth persistent buff. With my Armour before I could only run 3 buffs, maybe I could run 4 if the upgrade was as big as it was now even with Energy Shield only

Anyone using ice strike & Herald of Ice. Spend the 1 Div for the unique ring Polcirkeln. This turns the build from great to illegal. You will kill any mob close to the one you kill. It is absolutely insane.

I would ask if please you can put the attribute nodes in your planner….what have you chosen in each one as it would help a lot to understand how to allocate them too

This really is more dependent on your gear. Basically you need to put some into int and some into dex. You shouldn't need many in strength as most gear will be dex in early game and then dex/int late game. I found that I needed more int once I got to lvl 13 skill gems. Nice thing is that you can respect these nodes whenever you need to. TLDR. Pick Dex-Int 3:1 and change as needed to meet gear requirements. Cheers

​@@samsquatch7285I tend to put enough into int/dex to equip my gear then spec the rest into Str for the additional life. Extra dex just gives you accuracy. Extra int gives mana. I'd prefer to have the life

@ good point. I guess I was going from a starter setup where you don’t get many attribute stats on gear. I inferred from the op that he was pretty new to the game ( I’m no expert) and was looking for a bit of hand holding.

One quick note: the ascendancy of Invoker does NOT give you armour^^. I know you probably know this, but you called it that throughout the video, but it provides phys dmg reduction. This difference is kind of important as for example debuffs that shred your armour, simply do not apply. You still have your 70+% physred^^.

Towards the end of act one now and enjoying the falling thunder combo set up it’s pretty fun and satisfying if you keep pulling it off, since I was just playing ranger the idea of throwing on a bow was not appealing XD I was happy to see it worked better than people had said

Hey Wudi, have you seen the Str stacking/attribute stacking build going around using the Pillar of the Caged God unique quarterstaff and Gemling ascendancy? It seems to be the best "Monk" build in the game (likely only trade league viable).

Meditate ascendancy for Invoker is low key AMAZING. Have to drop eternal youth node cause it's bugged, but I'm walking with like 10k EHP

Maps can be up to +2 on the atlas and another +1 from vaaling them. so can go up to 18

You need to use the "Combat Frenzy" Sprit Gem along with "Resonance" node on the passive tree. This combination gives you charges when you use ice strike. It's in the planner.

Good guide, thank you. But I wish the game would be more accessible to us normal, non-10hours-a-day-streaming players. When I see that nearly all gems are link-maxed, gear is fabulous and ascendency points are all done - it actually makes me sad that I will not be able to reach this with somehow normal playtime. Great achievement by Wudi, well deserved. I am forced to wait for balance patches, removing xp punishment, boosting endgame xp and melee survivability, better itemization and increasing massively waystone droprate

You need increased find and juice your waystones with regal orbs to have them at least „yellow“. There is no need to increase waystone drops. I sometimes end up with 10+ waystones from one map

It will play virtually the same on 3-linked main skills. I am no kidding. If you check his (or other monk) support gems for ice strike you often will see gems which add 5-10% dps max in those extra slots. You still one shot trash mobs on maps and bosses will take you extra second or two

@@colin_1986 Juiced up the waystones and also set the right atlas points. Still ending up with way too less waystones, esp. tier 8+. If you die once or twice your are set back 4-5 tiers lower, no fun at all to fight lvl 70 mobs, making no xp

Why are you trying to catch up to streamers? This is their job, for us it’s a hobby cos we don’t get an income from it. I’ve played everyday since the release and the highest character I’ve got is 24 I think? I’ve just been playing different classes and having fun and experimenting a bit, trying to absorb and understand all the keywords and trees and stuff. Probably won’t even make it to endgame before the full release 😂 but who cares? It’s a game, have some fun with it, and if the fun stops, stop. I don’t think getting frustrated about the fact none of us can keep up with the literal paid professionals, is a great mindset, especially if you want to keep playing the game and enjoying it 😅

Why would your dps matter if you get one shot. That question doesn’t make sense at all. 3.1k Eva is pretty low tho. My chest piece alone gives me more than 3.1k

it is 2 days played. If you type in /played you will see your total time in this character. It is still fast considering wudi has several toons. My /played for my monk is 50hrs and is still 74

I feel like any Build feels OP. I am a first time player and went in blind and I am blasting through endgame without any issues, as long as you pay attention to stats and resistances you won't have problems. I really dont get all the people complaining about difficulty. Yes, there are oneshot mechanics and on death effects that could kill you but just dont stay inside of it? Thats a fix for the whole problem. Died once in maps because I didnt pay attention, like 9/10 deaths are own mistakes and 1/10 is just bad luck Edit: Also without trading. During the campaign I bought one single time an item - unique boots which I am not using anymore for a relatively long time now. Yes, Streamer Builds are unbelievable expensive, but then just dont copy a streamer with an expensive build? Its really as simple as that. People complaining about difficulty just want to play a game without being challenging at all. But then go play games without fights in them lmao like candy crush or something

my old one had 9000 evasion and could do t 10 .. I tried this build and can't even do t4 if you don't have great equipment it's not good, prefer the one from rob

I have 71% evasion (6690), Energy shield of only 1,741, with 1,463 life. I have all resist except Chaos at 75% (chaos at 28%). I am just cruising through T10 maps right now. Just died to boss death explosions. :) I am using a slightly different build, but doing nicely. My Ice Strike DPS is 23.5K.
