doesnt matter what temple your in, once you locke an item its like the lock rolls every currency possible and saves the results including the temple, so its locked to the belt the results would be the same on the next temple as the one with the quant zealotry

Also the right way to do this gamble would be to take every profitable corruption (within reason), then sell those and use the divines to buy more locks and uncorrupted MBs. Once the lock is used, it's used, that's the expensive part. Actually corrupting the belt and following through on a profitable corruption costs almost nothing.

I don't know man. If you use a lock and see a brick, you can sell belt as is and lose 69 divine or you can use another lock and now you have to get a corruption worth 138 extra divines just to go neutral. If you sell every "profitable" corruption, they need to be profitable enough to make up for the locks spent on those that yield no result. Yes, if you were guaranteed to gain a corruption no matter how useless almost every time, then that would be the strategy, but if you have to spend ~4 locks just to not brick the belt then you already need to make up for the 276 div

@@CurtainofDisaster Yeah, but he didn't say "use it to brick", he said "use it on a profitable corruption". I. e. if you see a corruption that's more profitable than the belt - because then you made a profit on the belt and can buy more. The lock is the most expensive part and already consumed. KEEPING the belt without corrupting it if the corrupt is profitable (excluding the lock, i. e. more profitable than the belt and temple) just throws away that profit and essentially makes that one belt cost 2 locks for no reason when you could use that lock on a new belt you bought with the profit from the first you corrupted. Same ingredients (a second lock) but you're up however many extra divines the double corrupt was worth. The only reason you wouldn't do that is if belts were getting scarce enough that you might not get another one or if the corruption is already on the market, hasn't sold and you're concerned you might not see the supposed profit this league. Obviously you don't brick a belt if that's the outcome. You'd probably see if a single corrupt would give something useful instead.

I never said to corrupt the belt if you knew it was gonna brick, but you spent 69 divines to lock it, and 4/5 times (seen in the video) the outcome will be a poof, brick, or corruption that is worth maybe 30 div extra. in case of poof or brick, you can re-sell belt and lose the 69 div of the lock or use another lock. If you in the 1/5 corrupt you get are lucky enough to get a good corrupt, it still needs to pay more than the lock and belt together. There is only a positive at the bottomline if you are extremely lucky with the corrupt you get.

I think this is some end of league YOLO gamble you do when your currency is about to disappear into standard and you want to see if you can hit that one in a lifetime perfect double corrupt using locks.

Regarding the max. life and crit. multi. i can only shake my head in disbelief. You even presented your accuracy-stacker who was very short on crit. multi. and relatively short on life and you didn't even thought twice, or pricechecked these insanse stats. F my friend

You NEVER use Hine's lock for profit. You have a 99% chance to lose money no matter what. Godcrafters use Hine's for mirror tier gear and even then depending on the fee they may never even recover the crafting cost. Unless used knowing that you will lose money, Hine's lock is the new noob trap. Also the life crit was god roll. So....next time you better check the trade.

You did it wrong. Lock -> Test all -> Get any corruption that pays a lock and a half -> sell it -> buy a new mageblood -> Repeat. The goal: pay the locks while exposing yourself to a bigger pool

% life with crit multi is not worth it, so nothing at all is. Use it on triple synth ring instead. My friend did a ring basically like sushi mirror ring. +1 frenzy, 7% strg, crit multi... He managed to get the vaal orb to add 5% strg and 6% int. Now that is wild and perfect use of locks to make something cool. Mageblood will never be cool. All results are bad if life with crit multi is not enough.

I just don't see the benefit of the Locks on magebloods :D Even if getting an amazing one on one of them it's just not even going to be close to breaking even for the full gamble in the video. My thought would be to use them for double corrupts or finishing touches on some mirror tier items instead. I can't think k of a single belt double corrupting possibility that'd cause me to fall out of my chair or be willing to pay like 4-5 mirrors for lol. At best it'd just be "I guess that's pretty good" lol

I got a lock and a foil MB just to keep for std since I'm at the tail end of my league and don't see much point in spending currency to upgrade my gear. I would be fine to keep the MB with the lock on as a keepsake but I tried a temple and it got %attr + es. I slapped it and listed it for a mirror, don't think it's gonna sell but I'm fine taking it to std as is.

I can understand that many of you guys are pissed about it, especially the life/multi one BUT in my opinion, I'd never spent 2-3 Mirror to get Life + Multi if Multi alone is like 400 or idk what the prices are right now. And considering it was double corruption and Locket used, I don't felt like its worth enough to justify the hundreds of divines invested in Lockets to make 100 divine profit if you know there are 4-5 Mirror Magebloods. It's also not easy to do those kind of Gambles, it's for entertainment and science purpose and not to flex and actually making Profit. We could have hit insane big magebloods but the chances are very low. I'm happy that you guys know exactly what sells and what doesn't, just tells me I have more to learn ;P Take it with a smile :) Maybe I should decline those kind of Gambles in the Future because I don't want to make you guys mad ^-^

Hinekora's lock would've been way cooler if it was common currency, but it had a modifier like "shows the result of the next essence/fossil/corruption/divine/exalt" etc. Instead because it does everything it's super valuable and has to be extremely rare.

A lock on an item is going to be the same result each time you try and use the orb on it, any dc will give the same result on a belt with a lock on it.

Most double corrupted magebloods don't sell regardless what they are listed for and a big thing is most people don't let them sit. They refresh the listing all the time so they appear listing but most have been up for REALLY long without moving. The 5% quant mageblood is mine and I have had a few offers for 2 mirrors but I'd rather keep it than sell for that. From what I've seen there is a huge drop off in interest for each % lower on quant despite it not really mattering

why do you check resistance rolls when you used divines, no one cares about that, only dex matters and there were some better rolls in there... a higher dex roll might save you a dex stat on a different piece of gear. Overall very bad decision making, especially the implicits imo
