The trick to guaranteeing a decent bow for bleed in SSF is to use all of the granite flasks you get from campaign to do the upgrade flat phys damage upgrade vendor recipe (vender bow w/ flat phys + granite flask + augment to upgrade one tier). Save one contempt essence for a citadel bow with decent sockets and then use that recipe to upgrade it and you're golden.

@caseyrybak 1. In campaign / white maps save up all the granite flasks you can, a single wailing (or better) contempt, and a regal orb. 2. Get a citadel bow base you like (quality, sockets, etc). The vendor recipe is subject to ilvl restrictions so higher is better but if you have a bow under 300pdps at end of campaign just do the craft. 3. Essence the bow to guarantee flat phys. 4. Do the upgrade recipe (bow, granite flask, augment) until you can't anymore (out of granites or max upgrade tier). The result is a one stat magic bow with high flat phys. 5. Click an orb of augmentation on the bow. 6. Click a regal on the bow 7. Craft your last mod which will be the highest tier of %phys you have at the time. If you regal'd %phys then craft attack speed or something useful to you. 8. Go forth with your new bow. Most of the time it should be around 380pdps if memory serves but im too lazy to check. The low end is probably around 350 and high end is low 400s. You can go kill quest eater/exarch quite easily with this bow. I did two 2stone ssf runs with this bow in ancestor league and it was super comfy for me.

i was starting as a bleed glad in 3.23. it was my at least top 3 start ever, probably even 2nd best. snipe and a bow with the granite recepie + jun craft will carry your 4 voidstones. it got basicly buffed every single patch for multiplie leagues now. volatility support, snipe got an extra stage, bow base stats buff, extra projectiles on the tree, gem quality heavily buffed.. edit: yea you mentioned the weapon. you dont need to buy one. get a citadel bow, alt spam it until you hit like t4 flat phys and do the granite recepie (weapon + granite flask + orb of augment) until t2 flat phys. regal and craft 130% inc phys. then you end up with a 400 flat damage bow which will be enough to carry the progression

There is no bait. Bleed Bow sucks ass ever since they downgraded bow bleed mod to the ground. Is it playable and decent? Yeah, it can be. With a SHITLOAD of investment it can get decent. But no where near it once was. Worth doing a bleed bow? Well, if you enjoy dumping a zillion divines into a build that can't perform like it once did, sure, it worth it.

It's cool to see that bleed bow is doing pretty good. I always thought that it was super reliant on cluster jewels and rare jewels to get damage, but you got 2 void stones without those! Imagine how much better the build could get with a few days of trade league. I think I might start this

I love when trade players simulate SSF as league start practice. It shows how good the build is on trash and if it's viable to play in SSF. Mbx builds are usually out of my reach because i only play ssf. It's nice to see what they can do on absolutely minimal gear

bleed bow glad was the first real build I played.... 8 years ago. High phys bows were the first currency craft I learned because of it. It might be time to revisit this thing and actually do it justice.

BB Glad is still my top 3 builds of all time. The last time I've played it was in the Crucible, some of the bow implicits were excellent, RoA bleed setup was especially strong. The clear was fantastic, I still hope they will reintroduce some of those bleed implicits as transfigured gems. Looking forward to the eventual Glad rework, and hopefully BB still being a thing.

Can't really brick the Build. UNLESS they really re-work gladiator and make it anti-bleed. But that would be a rough decision since Gladiator is known for the "Bleed" Class.

But I agree, I also consider this build for league start, as long as they don't remove bleed pop (and maybe challenger charge?), the build should be perfectly fine. The rest can probably only be better if reworked ! Well they could technicly destroy puncture or split arrow I guess, but its unlikely.

What about rushing the onslaught nodes/farsight and precise technique? The 40% more attack damage seem really really good early on and it is not far away at all - in the beginning you definately have more acc than life. Im aware that you want to always hit and always apply bleed in the end, but in the beginning neither of thesse two things are achievable anyway, so the 40% boost might just come in handy and respec later?

40% attack damage just affects the hit and not the bleed, all of your scaling and gearing is the bleed so it would useful for a few levels if that before becoming worthless

Nothing, using snipe support makes you use snipe , which charges to release a single attack emulating your linked bow skill (in this case puncture) with a more multiplier with hits and ailments for each stage

I guess you have to chose where to use your skill points between avatar of the hunt or large cluster jewels. I played bleedbow in 3.23 and first allocated points in avatar, then annointed it on an amulet later on as I was progressing the atlas and ended up abandonning it completely around level 94 to annoint charisma and stack the malevolence and pride auras plus relocating points in large cluster jewels to buff damage

Ensnaring Arrow is the one, the last mobs it hits will ensnare the mobs to an are with a rope, while the rope is not broken, they are considered moving even while standing still

Hey @mbXtreme! i tried a Boneshatter Impale Slayer with Ralakesh boots charge stacking (end/brutal+frenzy) and the damage was good, but survivability was awful even with 4k life, full res cap, 90% phys reduction, 90% spell suppress, immortal call CWDT and ele ailment avoidance. i even managed to slip in 40% evasion and still die a lot. what else can i do?? petrified blood instead of offensive aura? can you please make a survivability guide for modern PoE with uber bosses??

"90% phys reduction" if youre talking about the stat on the defence page after armor, please please do not even look at that, 90% spell suppress is bad, u should have iron reflexes as a boneshatter build so idk why u have evasion, get more additional physical damage reduction (watcher eye, endurance charges etc) and aim for atleast 100k armour if you are fourth vow, if not then 150k armour atleast

Its decent. With more investment you shouldn't have issues doing regular content. Build should also be cappable of doing Uber Bosses but its not a facetank build.

I believe it has potential to be fast and smooth like TS (not exactly the same but similar) and yet be tanky with enough DPS for all content.. in the end for similar investment in high budget there is always going to be something that's more bang for the buck. But this is really fun! I got my ass cheeks clapped in gauntlet butnit was pretty smooth IMO

It can get a little expensive when you'll be pushing the build in the endgame with a few specific jewels. But besides that the build is not relying much on uniques except a few affordable ones (ryslatha's coil, maybe an Aul's amulet...). There's much more expensive league starters than bleed bow

I honestly don't think many people will suddenly league start with bleed bow unless GGG announce a massive rework of both bleed and gladiator. At least three PoE content creators teased bleed bow with videos and guides before 3.23 but overall less than 0.3% of players went for that build.

I played bleedbow during 3.23 and ended up using both malevolence and pride for maximum damage. But it's not easy to reach this level of mana reservation. Managed to do it through mods on gear + annointing charisma + allocating points in two small cluster jewels to get 50% mana reservation on pride and malevolence. I added pride really late, sacrificing the defense aura I had with the grace gem for pride.
