What I like to do is not port out and stand inthe middle of the expedition and while it detonates i already throw out some fire traps at different areas and as soon as the mobs actually are attackabel I use infernal cry and use my flasks. This way while they are spawning and not yet attacking you you can already damage them with rf, fire trap and use infernal cry so if any white mob dies its pretty much over. Takes 5-10seconds on a 30c leaguestart char to clear the whole expedition in t16 maps

That might not work as well anymore due to infernal cry not applying cover in ash anymore.

@@ragdraki1029 eh doesn't really matter if you ask me. Sure you don't apply the more fire damage taken debuff which is a slight DMG nerf. But I mainly use infernal cry for the explosion and not the fire damage buff and the explosion is still there. So the main reason for why I use infernal cry did not change

There was lots of confusion around it since we didn't really know if the explosion was tied to the ash debuff since the explosion line was suddenly gone in POB But the latest patch notes update confirmed that the explosion part is still in The tldr is you want to start your explosion chain as soon as possible and infernal cry makes it so as soon as any white mob explodes a lot of other white mobs also chain explode and with this chances are really high that hinekoras proc and you clear the expedition instantly PoE 3.22 RF Chieftain - Expedition, Deli & Map Showcase + Boss Idea If you type this in youtube you should find an old small video of mine where i first tested the new chieftain and in there the first minute ish are showcases of how the build does expeditions. The build itself is not worth looking at its super outdated and bad since it was my first try testing some things. But just looking at 1-2 expedition clips should give you an idea of what I mean with the way I do the expedition clears them in seconds.. :D

Do you always run the Expedition scarab of archeaology? I have been running all 3 scarabs and every time I get a combo of buffs that makes it impossible to kill the mobs as RF

I absolutely love RF and a lot of people underestimate how insanely fast it can be as a mapper. I play it with Rampage, Adrenaline, Haste, Onslaught, etc. My speed modifier is usually 300%+ and insane AOE. With built in explode and Oriath’s end it explodes entire map in seconds, and you play by only holding one mouse button. If you are playing maps like Crimson Temple even Lightning Arrow can’t compete with you in speed of farming.

I like Jun at the start of a league, but it really slows down mapping - 3 separate encounters, lots of inventory clutter, waste time unveiling and most of it garbage. I stopped doing Jun when I had all the crafts unlocked. I think it even interfered with the amount of verisium ore nodes showing up in my maps too. Once I stopped using Jun, virisium showed up a lot more. I thought it was weird that I had a lot of Virisum Ore in tier 1-5 maps, but it stopped showing up after I was filling in the atlas tree. Once I used a different tree in Atlas Passive Tree 2, it started showing up again.

Probably will dip into Bestiary this league at the begining. Since Morrigan is way too good of the QoL not to get a couple early on. After which - scarabs and King's march all day baby. (Also there's like 99.9999% chance, that it's not a thing. But it would be kinda funny, if your mappers could ALSO bring you back maps. #Nevergonnahappen, but it would be neato) Oh and don't forget - you can go all in on Kirac's missions and reports, and complete your atlas without leaving white maps. Just pick rare maps then you'll get to "yellows" and rare and corrupted, once you'll get to "reds". Trust me - you'll get the actual maps later much faster, then you think, while having a 100+ points and 2+ Atlas tabs to play with. Stay save and have fun people!
