I started Necropolis with your guide for RF Chief and am still playing it! I tried a couple other things but didn’t push them nearly as far. Thanks for your guide and insight. I really love the build and had so much fun doing all kinds of strategies: strongboxes, big bomb expeditions, delving & heisting, rogue exile unique bonanzas with beyond demons spawning left, right and centre. It was just fiery, explosive fun the whole time. I incorporated a really cool Circle of Anguish and double corrupted Dawnbreaker and also bought a Defiance of Destiny, Adorned and Mageblood. Then I had fun crafting everything else myself. Man, this league was a blast for me. Thanks to you.

@@TheNuclearGamerr pure RF is 100% not viable for affliction farming its 0 dps, you can respec into fulcrum to farm it. overbuffed mobs is the reason why rf is squishy last 2 leagues

I played this all last league and it’s just the best got to a point at the end where I had a couple mirrors into it and could just go stand infront of any Uber boss and wait for them to die, ut was incredible. Thanks mate. Reaaly nice made guidance for a new~returning players like me to start understanding how skills and leveling works. However, the problem of the game is more global. I’m probably pretty average. I’ve played a while now and reroll way too many times to be effective. Basically though, the average player doesn’t make it into red maps. They start feeling weak some time in yellows and move in rather than farming or rolling something new. From players that get to actual endgame and kill pinnacle bosses and do some alter farming, yeah it’s typical to have your 4 voidstones. Although most people buy 1 or 2 of them from a carry. I almost always buy maven and Uber elder. The game kind of lends itself to leave new players somewhat lost. You’ll play whatever seems good but then you’ll have a hard time making currency and knowing what to buy for your build. Or it’s intimidating to buy an expensive piece for what feels like a small gain. Then you see a video of somewhat blasting looking fun af and decide you should do that not realizing that it’s a 120 div build you saw. It happens but it’s a great learning tool. You try different classes, different defense layers and different combat flavors. That’s kind of the best way to learn the game imo. Depending on your appetite for learning it can take several leagues before you start to really get good and efficient with playing. I have been crafting more the last few leagues and have been making currency doing that a lot more. I dabble in all sorts of different builds and branch out a lot more into some more complex mechanics. Basically, the game is more knowledge than skill based. Yeah there is some mechanical skill, but overall knowing more mechanics and how to control and manipulate them is a much bigger deal than good reflexes or aim in this game. Unfortunately, time is a huge factor to acquire that kind of game knowledge. ps A friend of mine got 2.8k hours played on steam and last week he killed maven and sirus for the FIRST time. So i don't think the average player reach very far) Thanks for reading)))

None of them are very good to follow for a league start except Lilly, as the bro said is POB improver (quite polite), they are very good player and experienced on the game. I don't recommend follow their league starters. They rely on low lvl sanctum running which is still very difficult.

@@kernoleary1394 RF seems like a good build for me to play while streaming for the first time in a league. Kind of easy brain off playstyle for me to focus on chatting and such on stream. I'd love to try melee this league but i've been baited in the past by "changes" and it's still melee, bossing was a nightmare for me on most melee builds I played outside of the super broken ones like Cyclone and Molten Strike Jugg.

I just started playing POE this League. I started with an Arc Build Guide but have hit a brick wall at Lvl 91 as it's so squishy. I'm going to give this a go as I've learnt a lot and have about 10D in currency and more in items on the Witch I can sell to get this one going.

Maybe looking into how gladiator can do with RF later? On top of very easily get superhigh dual block, 20% more AOE, and up to 100% more damage against bosses, it's prbly not great but I think it can be good, especially on a budget.

"100% more damage against bosses" sounds a lot better than it is. The ramp-up time is insanely high, so you'd be better off playing an ascendancy with more damage (jugg/inquis) later as opposed to Gladiator. 20% more AoE also sounds good, but Juggernaut endurance charges will result in a higher RF AoE while having all the powerful pdr/edr of endurance charges. The block cap is amazing of course, but defense isn't an RF build's problem. Late game, stacking endurance charges on Juggernaut is all but guaranteed to be the best option. With a Supreme ostentation timeless jewel, you can get 56% increased damage, 9% increased AoE, 5% increased armour, 5% pdr, and 5% edr per endurance charge, which you'll have 6-9 of. It looks really good at scaling clear, damage, and tankiness compared to everything else.

Pohx just wanted to say, with the new buffs to shield charge it does more damage than fire trap.... convert it to fire with two points (50 percent from avatar of fire and 40 percent from mastery)... presto magic, shield charge gets all the fire damage buffs and does way more damage than trap.... it also free's up socket pressure, all you have to do is get a little accuracy.....
