I love the crater, it can be really dangerous but other times it becomes sort of a chilling zone or hub full of friendly players. Just make sure to go there with something that can easily run away in case a t.rex pack or something pulls up.

I was on a server with a giant cuddle pile during one of the nights in IC. Everyone was cosied up. Then a sarco came along and tried to take some bites. That sarco was chased by about 30 dinos for a solid 5 minutes. I got to watch as my orange chonky carch from 100 yards behind because defense carch is slowww

On Velocci's realm the tree at grand plains probably would of been tougher, people seem to fight there more than anywhere. The servers where crater is packed are very laggy so its a good thing

I played as my adult Rex a went to the crater to find food, I scavenged off some dead bodies, and then a Meg started attacking me which is fine but then everything else there started joining in out of no where, even the herbivores, basically just a mega pack of mix packer, it’s weird that the devs don’t have some sort of mechanic for punishing players that help people not in there group sense they make mechanics to punish other exploits

In almost every server im in, i form a group, we kill everything we see in the crater, and then we chill there until something enters. If its vibe is good, we let it drink. If its vibe is off, we devour it alive

@@yellowtones yeah but when pepole dont wana die and lose theyre progres they often do that and they also do it for intimadaishon and killing things with ease i mean...would u belive it if u could take down a giga as a solo raptor? Thats why packs are theyre to help cuz sometimes litel cretures like the raptor cant defend themselves need the help the most but they cant make raptors OP or make theyre bites stronger than a giga so packs are an easy solution for hunting

How do you get 5 minutes of growth from such easy quests?? Has it to do with server or console or dinosaur or? I'm a switch player growing a pachy and I'm inching forward in snail speed (Also maybe I'm stupid but I don't seem to be able to choose which server to go to when joining multiplayer. I just get spawned)

You have to go to community servers, not official servers. Official servers growth rate is painfully slow and restricted to quests.

You know what's funny is even on realism servers, you will still come across some unfair scenarios. Once, I was growing as a adol Pycno when a Compy walked up to me and following me. I thought nothing of it but then he started killing the critter I spawned to chase, then following me making loud calls. A group of 5 Allos was following him the entire time from a massive distance away who then descended on me by following the calls. Apparently it was an "acceptable" use of mixpacking by the server because it was "symbiotic hunting", but that didn't excuse the Compy preventing me from doing quests and essentially helping them get kills by burning out the stamina of people trying to kill the annoying fuckers. It's people who make games unfair, even when they are built with rules to make them more fair.
