Right ! That animation is sick 😅. Before the updated version of the Novi, the lunge was kind of a bland looking animation and didn’t work great. Now it’s one of the best attacks in the game

The Rex was playing too defensively, if he had just been following you the whole time he could've had a chance.

Sorry for another question but what "voice" are you using? + speed -aqua speed, +speed - defense, bal or +defense -speed

@@monosaccharides8696 All great questions ! You're correct about it being a Fatalis. I use the "voice" that increases swimming speed and reduces defense while in water. For my hide, I use the hide that increases bleed and venom resistance. And usually I enter the fight with my "senses" set to blood frenzy. However on this server you can edit your abilities while sleeping so if I take too much damage I can retreat and switch to brief respite.

This is pretty true and is how it is for most creatures, the trick to winning fights is to keep the bites and other attacks away from your head and torso and be quick, hitting with mild and fast attacks

Yep, exactly. This was also before I got really good at using the Novi, I can defeat a Rex much more easily now without having to run away 😂

@@anom2619 I’d hardly say the server is ruined. There’s plenty of realism servers I play on without Novianas. This server has no rules and the whole point of modding games is to have fun. If me choosing an OP character is ruining peoples fun, maybe they should go to a different server

Remember this - the Noviana is extremely dependent on how you play it. It can be extremely fragile and not good in combat if not used properly. If you’re still learning how to play Noviana I would go based on this video. Attack and then retreat, until you wear them down.

@@Valshara_ I’ll tell you against smaller Dinos the tail attack kills. Keep running from them and swiping your tail and changing direction to make them miss or bite the end of your tail and they’ll be taking your tail to the face. The tail attack also works great in close quarters PvP against apexes but those kind of fights are risky for still learning the Noviana

Yep !! I have gotten bone snapped many times, usually that’s the end for me lol. I’ve tried to get good at predicting and dodging the bone break

@@Tabbydagamercat no I think the bone break is fairly balanced since most dinosaurs can outrun the T-Rex

@@Tabbydagamercat its bone break, what do you expect, and landing a bone break on rex definitely costs skill because a rex isnt just gonna catch anything, you have to know how to ambush and time it correctly. If you know how to fight a rex you can easily just dodge the bone break unless theyre the same skill level or higher than you. Also note that bone break in this game is literally less dangerous than in real life, where you literally have to wear a cast for weeks to heal a single broken bone, not to mention that it hurts like crap from what Ive heard lol but Ive never broken a bone.

rex was not terrible. good positioning in the rocks to make it harder for you to attack. it was wasting stam doing its charged bite like that and missing. charged bite on smaller targets that can run to avoid it is a waste. all it really had to do was not do charged bite and wait for you to run away to get stam, then chase and outstam you. that being said you fought well. ggs
