The only thing I don't like about hatze is a bit of personal thing, but pterosaurs do NOT attack with their wings, so whenever they do in 'Realistic' media it pisses me off Edit: the Flail buff is neat

Been maining hatz since it dropped last Christmas, but even I didn't know those tips! Nice! Although I do have a question: I've seen the jumping stab be used before, however I haven't used it because someone told me that was an exploit because it's not supposed to do that, and I could get in trouble for using it if reported. Have you ever heard this before? Someone said the devs are aware of that and it isn't supposed to do that. I've always wanted to do that but been kinda scared to. Have you ever heard anyone say that? Thanks

I dont think you can get into trouble for using it. I never have and iv seen others use it too. That sounds more like a salty players threat imo. It's not an exploit as such because it has limited use. It's not asif we can still peck in the air. Maybe community servers might have rules but on official I'm almost 100% sure you won't get in trouble.

I see that stab is a must with every build. But do you prefer peck barrage or the normal peck?

I run stab with regular peck. It's very good for dealing with the smaller things and it's ability to regain stam is nice. Just if you fight another hatz with barrage whom try to face tank you. Stab and peck them then try to dodge them for 15 seconds, rinse and repeat.

Which is better for hatz, barrel roll or flail?

It depends, flail does more damage and you can use it whilst hovering, barrel roll does a bit less and harder to hit with, but it also has a hidden use. If you ever struggle with being in slow flight or fast flight (walking and running speed but in the air), sometimes its hard to tell. You can only barrel roll in fast flight. It will only light up to be available to use in fast flight. Iv moved over to flail recently but I miss the indicator from barrel roll.

I feel like hats should have better acceleration and lose the ability to have peck, barrage and stab especially if hat is supposed to be a small to mid tier hunter. It is horrible at that at the current state.

Without peck, barrage and stab it wouldn't have any attacks on the ground 🤔 I don't think they're to bad to fight tbh, you just have to use the terrain to your advantage in most cases

hatz is OP garbage, and before you reply..... remember hatz has better stats than most mid tiers (higher dmg than most, same hp as most, same land speed as most, fastest turn in place....) and this is the game where many other things with lower stats in every category lose the ability to jump over a log or rock when they reach sub adult.....cause ya know, that would be op.

I get what your saying, and yeah they strong af. I can scour the plains to find people easily and can disengage whenever I need to. The wing slap is good to get people away from your face. Let alone being able to get revenge kill because I can fly back so fast. Tough beak is insane to trade stab with apex ect ect. The best counter to Hatz I think is the terrain advantage. You can hide something small or reduce the angles with something big. Or make I so I have to come into a cluttered area. Never ever stay in the open area if you are fighting hatz. Also I'd say show confidence, the second you start to panic without strategy is when you stand no chance. And remember most people will offer assistance if they see you being attacked by hatz, it's a universal thing lmao, everyone shares a hatred to that they cannot catch.

@@Toast_hub its ok i know all the ways you can avoid them (i do it plenty after all lol). normally its not an issue, the only time i really think about hatz being OP is when im getting smashed often on my lambo or sty or some other mid tier too often. i always know i can play hatz instead and gain a TON of safety and not really lose any combat effectiveness. so most play sessions go that when then i quickly get bored on hatz and log. imo a really cool dino, and a terrible addition to the game lol. no hate tho. if theres a hatz player i dont like im sure i dislike him just as much on anything else ;)

I disagree tbh mate, they buffed its ground fighting capabilites when they made that change. It was cheesy before that you could hover over and get free hits. Now you have to play its smart and to your advantages. Definitely more of a challenge but they're still very strong imo
