Absitiam played very well! I'll be honest, for most of that fight, I thought we were both more even in health than we actually were. I could have played that a lot better than I did, but honestly, it just proves my standpoint - any dino can beat any other dino in a fight, if they knew how to play it. That's what I love about this game so much; the fact that it relies heavily on the skill of the player, and not the power of the dino. Also, correction - I was not actually thinking at all that Absitiam was getting lucky. I don't have that much confidence in myself, haha. I was actually admiring their new strategy! Great video! I'm finding myself shocked to be in another one, but maybe I shouldn't be all that surprised. Can't wait to join in on the next stream!

GGs friend 🍻 I also agree about why I like this game so much. Yes stats and abilities can tilt a fight one way or another, but people have proven and shown me they can adapt and turn a bad playable into a viable one with the right strategy.
@dtbrex083 ай бұрын
Adding to Absitium’s very good strategy, you can put EVEN MORE damage in by biting after the charge, and then if youre lucky you can also land a tail attack AFTER that. So you can get a LOT of extra damage out. You can also try charging and then headbutting immediately after to increase the knockback distance making it harder for the dasp to return the damage, at least from my experience that is. Im not entirely sure if the knockback adds up or if it nullifies the charge knockback by using headbutt but it works from my experience.

That was an amazing move choice by the conc to block you like that so his friend could get that bone break on you. Really informative video. Loved seeing all the different types and if I ever play pycno more I’ll be adopting Abs technique haha.

Dasp being able to drag its bites after the animation finishes is insane. Will be interesting to see how Dasp plays after the changes in the PTB yesterday. I’d prefer they removed bone break from the game entirely except for fall damage or Ano, maybe.
@dtbrex083 ай бұрын
Bonebreak is kinda needed for some creatures and is also fun to use though imo. Its also relatively easy to avoid as long as you really know what you’re doing unless you get ambushed or lag causes the hitbox to be weird. I definitely agree heavy bite needed a change and honestly bonebreak should get the same treatment but removing it imo would ruin the gameplay experience for a lot of people that find it fun to use like myself, especially for ambushing.
@lumperony56642 ай бұрын
If your having trouble fighting dasps with bonebreak let it spam and don’t let it hit you at all as in wait till the full bone break animation is over cause it’s hitbox lasts till the animation ends just about. The reason I say let them spam is because if they aren’t smart they’ll use up all there stam and you can have full control of the fight from then on

As a tip for pycno use your charge at point blank whenever possible since it’ll take minimal stamina and your distance on how far you charge doesn’t effect your damage
@KrawllUnchained2 ай бұрын
with the latest changes to charge, yes the damage is affected. The longer the charge, the more damage you deal. a point blank charge does very little.

Well in the new ptb, the dasp is getting its heavy bite damage nerfed from 120 to 90 and piercing bite from 150 to 120 and the heavy bite cooldown is getting increased to to like 15 seconds or something

Krawll makin my head swell over here 😅 honestly even a bad Dasp player has an edge over a good Pycno player so don't gas me up too much lol. Absitiam crushed his strat in the second fight with Jenna and I'm confident I wouldn't have done that well if I were in his Pycno's shoes lol. As long as you're at least trading damage with Pycno on Dasp, you win every time.

Yeah you’re exactly correct about my thoughts. After watching you do the tail kiting, I tried it, but still lost. So then I changed my strategy to only incorporate the voice buff + charge + tail combo and I guess I managed to pull it off.

Bite does 45, charge 110, tail does 20, and you take 15 from biting it. A cool 190 damage, 205 if they hit you twice.

As pycno vs dasp I’ve played both sides and for pycno I’d wait for him to use bonebreak then when he misses I’d point blank charge him and since I’m the knockback subspecies I can usually turn and have him hit my tail before he hits me with a heavy bite

with all of this information you got from the war room would you say that pycno stands a chance against dasp? and or what would be the best build to counter daspleto, cause as a dasp player mainly: i have yet to loose against a pycno
@KrawllUnchained3 ай бұрын
I feel like, right now, there are a few stars that need to align perfectly for the Pycno to win against dasp lol. The dasp has a major advantage. The only way a Pycno wins against dasp at the moment is if the player knows exactly what he's doing and the dasp does a few mistakes. If the dasp manages to trade damage with the Pycno on every exchange, the Pycno loses every time. No matter the build. I almost won the fight against that dasp in Green Hills because he was a bit slow to react to my attacks , his timing was off on almost every hit but as soon as he got the bone break and i was forced to trade with it, i lost. What needs to happen is the Pycno needs to have it's charge boosted back to to what it once was on a full range charge otherwise it's just good at killing smaller things that aren't faster than itself.

@@KrawllUnchainedafter seeing absitiums second fight with Jenna, even if its not doing max damage (which apparently takes a lot longer than I originally thought so thats my bad lol) I do still think it actually does quite a bit even if it isnt the max damage. Even not at max damage, I still think pycno, from my experience at least so far, is strong enough if its good enough to 1v1 a dasp, maybe even allo or even sucho if its lucky. But Ill have to make a pycno compilation myself to find out for sure, which I plan to do hopefully pretty soon after my planned allo video comes out… whenever that’ll be…

Let me ask, which do you think is better for the dasp? Piercing bite or The chargeable bone break option? And would you advise running them together?
@KrawllUnchained3 ай бұрын
@@silvanusasher446 I may not be the best person to give you an answer to that. My build with the dasp was regular bite + Heavy bite, i have personally never used piercing bite and i know it has been changed with the most recent PTB update so i really have no idea how good or how bad it is. I also think any build can be somewhat viable with some practice. I don't personally think that Bone break + Piercing bite would be a popular choice but a bone broken opponent would be much easier to hit with it . Just know that with a 15 seconds cooldown on piercing bite, you'll need to keep your opponent bone broken a long time and you'll probably need at least 3 hits with piercing bite to kill them so that's at least 45 seconds for 1 kill. Now if you're fighting multiple opponents, you'll have to mostly rely on your tail + bone break. To be honest if i were you, i would try it and see if i like it. I think it might have some potential but it will come with it's own set of drawbacks for sure.

@KrawllUnchained3 ай бұрын
They can bone break you from behind but only if they are close and they hit the main body. If you're both running and the bone break hits from the middle of the tail or further, the bone break will not work. It has to hit the main body !
@dtbrex083 ай бұрын
Lag sadly can make it seem like a tail hit sometimes and a lot of creatures with big tails seem to be vulnerable on the base of their tail as well. I hope they change it at some point so only the torso causes leg break.

While playing, press "U" to start recording with the replay tool. Press "U" again to stop the recording. Then when you wish you access your recorded replays, go to the main menu, there is a replay button in the main menu. Press the replay button and this will access the replay library where all your replays are stored. Choose the one you want and press play. I don't know if you can use the replay tool on console or cell phone. I think it may only be for computer users.
