Thank you so much for clearing the confusion between personification and pathetic fallacy. They seem so much in proximity. However, the difference is clear now that personification includes inanimate objects and abstract thoughts. On the contrary, pathetic fallacy focuses on nature related things. The examples were apt.

Pandey Ji! Your query is very important. We should select the best option from the all alternatives. If there are two figures of Speech in the sentence, the common figure of Speech should be chosen from the options. Less common should be avoided.

U gave an example "The mountains and hills broke forth into singing"...as a personification.Mountains and hills are a part of nature so why not the example is a Pathetic fallacy

Sir,sorry for interrupting you, All natural movement seemingly full of human action can't be pathetic fallacy,such as-'The trees danced in high winds'-is personification not pathetic fallacy here as trees are not really dancing rather moving by the winds but if these being blown by the breeze of wind would create a rustling tune among leaves,would be pathetic fallacy as a natural reaction of welcoming season spring and reflecting character's mood or tone. Please comment on it,Sir.
