This is a build i tend to use. However i keep charisma at 12 and wear a circlet. Then i dip one point into thug and barb. Fast movement in medium armor, sneak attack, and intimidate fear checks are what i take featwise. Orc works well for this

This build would be perfect.......the only thing missing is Rage and a miniature giant space hamster

Also there are 2 very good greatswords from a certain master smith. Stonecutter (acid) +2, then the Swiftblade (lightning) +4. There is also Endless War +5, but it damages you and enemies

Best would be reach weapon, sit behind your tankier pet and great & finishing cleave the crap out of all the enemies. Fauchard is great, 18-20/2x crit.

I didn't know 2 handed rangers were a thing. I thopught, rangers can either be archers or dual-wield

I'm doing one right now, wanting to use the heavy flail and trying to figure if i should go fighter, slayer, paladin, or ranger.

I usually use Amiri to hunt if my main is lame for hunting. Have you ever tried to use Stealth on any toon yet? I haven't except as part of their being Invisible (I assume the Stealth check is additive...my skill rank + the bump you get from Vanish/Invis/Grtr Invis spell).
@rangertony6 жыл бұрын
No I have not used stealth in this game. Generally I am too impatient to use stealth. I understand that the best way to use stealth is have your stealthiest character sneak around and scout of areas first and then go back to the party and plan how you are going to handle the situations you find. Generally I just prefer to explore normally. If the stealth gave a definite advantage in combat I would walk everywhere with the whole party in stealth, but I have not seen anything that suggests that this is the case. I could be wrong though
@brothermutant73706 жыл бұрын
I agree. It really doesn't seem to help unless you are scouting an area or are using invis type spells/potions first, and then staying in combat as a hidden character.

The most important aspect of stealth is that you can use it so hide your camp while resting, which leads to lowering the chance of getting attacked. For soloing, it's basically mandatory.

Is the human race bugged? I thought you would get a + 2 to a chosen skill rather than an ability. Otherwise this is definitely a build I also wanted to try out.
@rangertony6 жыл бұрын
Humans get +2 to a single Ability, i.e. Str, Dex Con etc, 1 extra Feat at first level and 1 extra skill point per level. This is pretty standard as the Humans in D&D and Pathfinder have had this structure for decades, since D&D 3.0 was release I think. Unfortunately PFKM does not do a good job of correctly explaining all of it's rule so some times it can be confusing.
@doublea18976 жыл бұрын
@@rangertony oh yes, you are right. I totally misread that, the text says 'ability'. Probably I was confused because the special human starting feat is named 'Skilled'. However, I do only know the older d&d rules. I cannot remember humans having a + 2 from the get-go.
@rangertony6 жыл бұрын
I think prior to D&D 3.0 humans had no bonuses to attributes/abilites. The main advantage of playing a human was you could choose any class, where as the other races were limited to certain classes or combinations or classes. With D7D 3.0 they allowed all races to play any class and therefore they had to provide some other bonuses for humans. At least I think that is the reason / history behind it
@cdnarmymedic6 жыл бұрын
@@rangertony : The +2 to one ability score for humans, half-elves, and half-orcs is new to Pathfinder. In D&D 3.0/3.5 Humans and Half-Elves got no ability score bonuses/penalties, and Half-Orcs got +2 Str / -2 Int / -2 Cha. Humans have always had the extra feat and skills since 3.x though.

Why not just leave dex at 12 and take Heavy Amour Proficiency? And you should probably take reach weapons into consideration.
@rangertony6 жыл бұрын
I am not used to "reach" being a thing so I keep forgetting to take it into consideration
