The intro here is a really good addition, it makes much more sense now. It's so cool that, with the custom map, this video is probably the biggest single compilation of Vudra lore anywhere. Definitely wish that Paizo would set some more adventures here.

I went from knowing nothing about Vudra beyond its name to knowing . . . A lot. Well done. I love that Vudra is clearly Indian-inspired, but the writers also did their own thing and made it their own nation with its own mythology and culture. Nice to learn a little more about the Garuda, though I hope you’ll eventually give us a deeper discussion of them as well as the Peri to finish off your discussion of the Celestials of Pathfinder. Or just do another Creature Feature. Those are always fun.
@TheMythkeeper4 ай бұрын
Its tough to figure out what to do with creatures like the Garuda (strongly associated with Vudra) and, say another example, the Ghorans (strongly associated with Nex). They could probably warrant another creature feature or ancestry guide video, but most of the content would be duplicative with content I felt I had to feature in the region guide to explain what they were and why they were culturally / historically important. I think as I round out my region deep dives, I'll revisit some of these topics that I touched on in my region videos, but didn't fully explore.
@JamesAdams-nd1td4 ай бұрын
Sounds interesting. I’m glad you’re still finding new things to do videos on (though I suspect by the time you would’ve run out, there’ll be plenty of new lore on subjects that got changed in the remaster, like dragons).

This will be excellent for an idea I had of a lawful evil coded monk villain. I decided they would be a fallen follower of Irori, corrupted by a Rakshasa, and this video further exemplifies I was on the right track
@TheMythkeeper4 ай бұрын
This is a great villain concept
@johnnelson44114 ай бұрын
@@TheMythkeeper Thankyou. I forget what they were called, but I was thinking of the monk being part of the newer Iroran denomination that used indulgence as part of enlightenment. I was thinking maybe the Rakshasa were behind that sect of Iroran faith to being with, and this monk would be a sign of that
@herkles54164 ай бұрын
Woo. I am kind of surprised at the amount of detail here. Casmeron in general always felt as having not as much info as Tian Xia or Arcadia. Still I am glad to learn more. I do hope that there is an actual adventure path set here, as this sounds like a fun place. Likewise I think giving the whole of Casmeron the Tian Xia treatment I think would great. side note: as I did a modding work for Crusader Kings 3 on an India flavored mod, it was quite neat to see a lot of the art I found on Artstation for the Mod. Which is cool.
@TheMythkeeper4 ай бұрын
Funny that you consider Arcadia a place that has a fair amount of supporting content. As someone putting together lore videos, I'm finding that region is _sparse_ . If you have any recommended Arcadia reading materials, I'm all ears.

Do you include events and places depicted in Paizo's old Pathfinder Tales novels? They are published by Paizo so seem like canon. Parsing the series for locations and information would require a fair amount of work and footnotes to cross reference but could be valueable lore for some of your more indepth city or location videos.
@TheMythkeeper4 ай бұрын
I try to pull from as many sources as possible. Occasionally you will here reference to specific Tales novels (I refer to one in my Nidal video, and I reference another in my upcoming Galt video) but I haven't read many, and its quite possible for me to miss some details here and there. The Pathfinder wiki has been a help in tracking down those connections.
