I've been shopping at the pathfinder school store for about a year. Not only does he carry all of it, but the prices are better than I've found elsewhere. It always arrives quickly and is nicely packaged. Best part is, there is a tremendous sense of satisfaction from the fact that you are supporting the channel. It has become my go-to place to shop.

I also just wanted to say Dave I love that not only do you give us such detailed and straight-forward advice for free but you also interact with us on a one-to-one basis unlike some youtubers who act high and mighty. I disagreed with you on one of your other videos about hidden tangs not being as good as full tangs (given proper heat treatment & steel) and you responded respectfully and didn't talk down to me or block me. Keep being down to earth and an overall awesome teacher. :)

Thanks for sharing so much info online, I'm from the UK so I can't attend, but even if I could I'd have to pick some things up, I'm new to bushcrafting and love going basic and ultralight, skipping the luxuries. Camping out in the UK is a pain, even in summer (it rained all summer and we only had 154 hours of sunshine this year) but I like to think being used to rain is an advantage, it's the only way I can enjoy myself. Much love Dave! Keep being real.

We thank you for supporting your students in whatever way they need. You are truly a rare breed of people, and I support you for all that you do for us. You are why I buy from you. Products can be purchased anywhere, but character is something you can't find just anywhere. Thanks again Dave, and I will be praying for you, your family, and your business to thrive, and that yall will continue to gain a higher relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord!

The issue of taking your classes isn't in the cost of supplies, or the cost of the class; it's in the travel costs! It would be great if you/your instructors traveled to major areas (ie: Sacramento, CA) and held classes. I belong to a non-extreme 'prepper' group that would easily take up 20+ places in just one of your classes, if we didn't have the travel expenses.

Dave, I've always thought that candles were great to have in a kit, so much so, that I usually carry two, one in a dedicated candle lantern and one as part of my fire kit. The cheap dripping candles work great at starting fires in wet conditions,(assuming of course that you can light the candle) and they can add a few degrees of heat inside your shelter. Candle wax can be used in waterproofing, lubricating and a dozen other applications. They don't need batteries. If you break one, you get two. They're reliable. They even start with the letter 'C'. But I've never heard you mention one. Am I wrong about candle power?

Hey Dave. I know you don;t seem to want to name specific brands that break, but for the sake of all of us, I would sincerely appreciate it if you did. You see much more gear, and how well it works, than the rest of us, which puts you in a better position the let the rest of us know what to avoid. There is nothing wrong with letting us know what is crap! It might even make a good video. "Survival gear to Avoid?"

Hey Dave, I'm not much of a survivalist myself but have you ever considered including a shamagh in your kit rather than bandanas? They're somewhat unorthodox but I can attest to the fact that they work great in a variety of environments. I live in Colorado so the weather's always changing and I use mine all the time. Also, they're huge when unfolded so that might be useful. Thanks for the vids!
@moonpieface762711 жыл бұрын
thanks for this video. excellent information! it would be nice to see this bundled in your store to get a good deal for all the kit you need. different bundles could be created for different needs/classes. it would also be nice to see a list of the equipment in the description along with links to the items in your store. no reason why you shouldn't be able to generate additional revenue by drawing those connections, and we would all love the convenience of the links. keep these great videos coming!

Please help me I'm sure that you probably seen some of these KZbin videos of pasta about bug out bags ang bags and this new snap bag they been talking about. But one thing they really are forgetting it is properly dressing for winter conditions you know as well as I do going into the mountains going up in elevation been exposed to the wind and the temperature dropped I'm just being winter is a dangerous combination plus the occasional Blizzard coming through If they're not properly dressed they are going to freeze to death and I die so please help me save lives at least on this subject by getting the word out about dressing in layers you know some thermals maybe some sweats the regular clothes maybe some thermal insulated overalls and a jacket thermal gloves something to keep your head warm as well as their feet and I understand wool is the best thing I know it holds 80 percent of its warmth even when it gets wet but not everybody can afford the best of stuff so please help me with this pass the word around and let's get this situation dealt with before people die and they need to understand that means extra weight in the pack thank you
