Summary: All levels in Ranger. Skills: Mobilty, Trickery, Stealth, Arcana, Perception And Magic Device for supportive scrolls due to high Charisma. If for some reason Arueshalae is the one casting Dazzling Display you would take Persuasion instead but seeing as you want to use Arueshalae outside of point blank range even this isn't a good idea. Table: Normals Levels -> Comments -> Mythic Levels (Below comments) -> Viewer Suggestions and Concerns. Normal Levels: 9: WF: Longbow 10: IC: Longbow // Favored Enemy: Demon of strength and Demon of magic. 11: Improved Initiative ! OR ! * (check below) 12: +1 Dex 13: Dazzling Display ! OR ! % (check below) // Favored Terrain: Abyss due to the nature of the upcoming act. 14: Archery: Point Blank Master: Longbow ! OR ! & (Check Below) 15: Shattered Defenses ! OR take Improved Initiative if you took Dazzling at Level 11. (see ! * and ! % below) // Favored Enemy: Demons of Slaughter and Demons of Magic. 16: +1 dex 17: Snapshot ! BUT It doesn't matter anymore really. Pick whatever you didn't take. 18: Ranger: Toughness ! BUT It doesn't matter anymore really. Pick whatever you didn't take. Or take what you feel like you need. More HP VS Conceal bypas (Check ! & Below) 19: Combat Reflexes ! BUT It doesn't matter anymore really. Pick whatever you didn't take. Or take what you feel like you need. 20: +1 Strength // Favored Enemy: Outsiders (Subject to change in upcoming DLCS) and Demons of Magic. Comments: ! * if you already have characters able to perform Dazzling Display, you can start working on dazzling display + shattered defenses from here. But he prefers to have shattered defenses by the time his party gets access to Frightful aspect which is a level 8 cleric // oracle // wizard // sorc //druid // shaman // arcanist // witch spell at LEvel 15 for Wizard and Level 16 for classes like Oracle. ! % Pick Shattered Defenses if you picked Dazzling on 11. Alternatively you can start on Combat Reflexes and Snapshot but he decides against it because enemies need to be relatively close to trigger an attack of opportunity and, his melee characters with pets already rack up numerous attacks of opportunity. O ! & You can take Improved Precise Shot but he finds it less good because Total concealment is only 50% miss chance and you don't bypass that so any enemy this works on would be bypassing maybe a blur which is 20% miss chance. And at higher levels almost all tough enemies have Total Concealment. Point Blank Mastery isn't the best either because you want to use Arue kind of outside point blank range anyways but incase they do get close you can deal with them more effectively. PBM is a must if Arue is your Dazzling Display caster but again, not good as this will probably get her killer. Mythic Levels: 1: Cleaving Shots 2: Deadly Aim (Mythic) ! You will almost always have Deadly Aim enabled on Arue. 3: Distracting Shots ! OR Last stand if you need it on unfair but you are ranged after all. 4: Rapid Shot (Mythic) ! OR Improved Critical (Mythic) but Bows only have 19-20 and Rapid Shot will always be good. 5: The Bigger They Are ! OR Rapid Shot (Mythic) if you didn't take it at Level 4 ! OR Ranging Shots but thats only good if you miss a lot and that shouldn't really be happening especially with buffs and most enemies are big anyways so it's always useful. 6: Improved Critical (Mythic) ! OR The Bigger They are if you took Rapid Shot (Mythic) on 5 ! OR Improved Initiative if you don't care for Improved Critical (Mythic) and Arue doesn't come first in battle as much as you like. 7: Ranging Shots ! If you didn't take it at level 5. Really pick any that you didn't before for Levels 7, 8 and 9. 8: Improved Initiative ! If you didn't take it at level 6. Really pick any that you didn't before for Levels 8 and 9. 9: Last Stand ! If you didn't take it at level 3 or really any other combination of these Feats you went with. Really pick any that you didn't before for Level 9. It would be too much Hassle to type out all the possible combination for when you didn't follow cRPG's advice. Viewer Suggestions and Concerns: Fit Extended Metamagics into the build somewhere to allow the use of Instant Enemy on 4th level plus increased duration so you need to cast it even less plus having more spell slots. cRPG Replied that you could even fit Mythic Abundant Casting into the build for even more casts of this spell. I feel like that might be overkill though.

On my first run I sticked with espionage expert. Instant enemy ranger bond combo is definetely good, but instant enemy procs aggro - thus we lose our suprirse round. Consider investing her into Eldritch Archer. Elemental barage makes her absolutely redicilous killing machine... And if you think you will lack attack rating, consider arcane accuracy / precient attack / DIMENSION BLADE :D She can attack touch AC with crazy high number of attacks with tripple elemental enchant on her bow + sonic arrows quiver for absolute devastation!

These are some great tips, thank you! Elemental Barrage on an Archer can indeed do immense amounts of damage. I will actually make a guide about the Magus class soon, the weapon enhancements you get fore free alone are extremely powerful!

@@cRPGBro On my hard run I was using your build for Sosiel domain lord and I made arueshalae go eldritch archer all the way... Basically Sosiel touches her before the fight and when she opens the fight... Well we fight 1 less enemy every round :D Sometimes two less enemies every round

Arushalae benefits a lot from an Eldritch Archer dip. 2 levels so that she can apply ranged spells to her attacks is far more valuable than the Ranger capstone.

i gave her the dinosaur statue for companion, LoL, and went magus-mystic theurge at level 16 with the build right now, it's awesome using a wand of enervation with spellstrike to start out her volley of death, and then flay all the other enemy around the one's she doesn't kill outright, LoL

Thank you for the support, as always, as positive feedback from these videos really matters to me! I have not tried Arue as Demonslayer, as she comes earliest at level 7-8 I think. If you are using a mod to fully respec her, then yes, Demonslayer is an extremely solid class now that the Favored Enemy bonus has been supposedly fixed. She will lose the ability to bestow FE on allies, but gains not only an extremely strong pet, and also a massive FE bonus against all the demons that is also shared with pet!

best thing about arushalae: her skills. since its hard to get pickpocket and UMD at once unless u go with wojilf or make MC around it. and then she also is a ranger. not sure if in 1.2 u can still call enlarge on her so thats a worry (since they fixed "humanoid" tag in some spells like mass hold)

Yep, Aru has the best skills by far! My favorite is her extremely high Stealth even at the start to make avoiding random encounters a breeze! I forgot about Enlarge, but I do know you can cast Legendary Proportions on her!

She can definitely replace Lann, however Lann has the potential to become stronger due to build customization, as he will always revert to level 1 for the respec, so you have almost full progression of 19 levels in whatever you want to give him.

cRPG Bro, what is your opinion of combat styles, for rangers and slayers? My personal take is that unless you want to dual wield, in which case you get two weapon style to avoid the need of 19 dex for GTWF, it seems to me that menacing style is by far the best... Getting shatter defences on level 6 for free is bananas. On the other hand picking archery style doesn't make any sense, since you can get the archery feats anyway. The only reason for that would be if you want to go snap shot route in which case the extra archery feats come in handy. But other than that there is no real reason to go archery / two handed style etc... Shatter defences on lvl 6 is roken for many reasons. One of which is that in the early game you can have Daeran using demoralize on autocast, since early on he is very weak caster and can't hit anything with crossbow, so he ends up being useless in combat. However since he has high persuasion, he can demoralize enemies and shake them and your say slayer deliverer with shatter defences will make short work of shaken enemies...

Shatter Defenses early can help, but I'm usually fine with getting it later. I do enjoy 2H, Dual Wield and Ranged feats depending on Build, as I like getting them fast. Demoralize on characters like Daeran can help indeed, but I find he can also provide a decent source of AoOs while mounted on pet with a Rapier. I just don't enjoy Dazzling Display much, full round cast is too boring!

What is the offset for Deadly Aim? At a -4 penalty to attack, plus the rapid shot -2 it really impacts the ability to hit high AC mobs?, especially with your 2nd and 3rd attacks in a round. 1st attack is +25, and third is way down at +15.

Deadly Aim adds a massive amount of damage to every one of your attacks, up to around +18 with Mythic Deadly Aim. It's especially useful for bows because that is doubled for your first hit with Manyshot. With proper buffing, I was able to actually leave Deadly Aim on for Aru even against mid/late game bosses on Unfair. Rapid Shot Penalty can be easily negated by the Mythic Rapid Shot feat.

For a Wenduag Tank & DPS , I honestly think the easiest path would be to just get her into a pet class, then have her ride the pet. An amazing one would be Hunter, or if you are fine with getting the pet slightly later, Ranger. Wait a second, wait a second...why didn't you choose highten metamagic to get instant enemy on level 4 too ? Plus atleast abundant casting for more uses. I find it a very powerful spell since you can cast it on ANY enemy.

I was not sure Heighten would allow Instant Enemy to be increased (it doesn't work with some buffs for some strange reason) But this + Abundant Casting are very viable choices as well! This was my actual first full run with Aru, so I believe there are some small changes that can be added to this build as usual later on!

The effect isn't irrelevant since you double the duration (34 min vs 17 min at level 20) so assuming you are fighting the same type enemy, you might not need to spend an extra spell slot. Not sure if you can stack multiple instant enemies at the same time but even isn't the most useful it can be used with other buffs like greater magical fangs.

Yes, Demon Slayer is an extremely solid choice. Aru's special Ranger subclass is rather bad, to be fair. The pet loss alone is a HUGE decrease in power.

I used to think Aru was pretty bad because of pet loss, but eventually I grew to realize Ranger's Bond is also rather neat, especially since you CAN prebuff with it before battle! And with Instant Enemy, it's a +4 to hit & damage for all party members eventually, or +8 to Aru herself. But personality wise, I tend to find Wenduag more endearing, I really like her whole character and the "master" dialogues. I also favor dual throwing axes more than Bows, I find them really fun. But both are very strong to be fair.

Hi there! I prefer Longbows as I feel there are stronger ones in game. Also, Aru's STR is decent enough, you don't really need that high STR for extra Composite Longbow damage, and we can always increase it further with spells and also size spells if needed.

Hi there, it's because currently, all Mythic Paths besides Demon only gain Mythic 10 very, very late in the game. I'm not kidding when I say there are only TWO enemies left to fight once you get MR10 - a midboss and then the final boss of the game! This might change with upcoming DLC.
