Bhargav aastra is created by Bhagwan Parshuram which can summon all Divyaastras that is possessed by Bhagwan Parshuram. He then taught Karna to summon the Bhargav aastra. After the Pandavas and the Kauravas returned from completing education they were involved in a friendly fight "rangmanch" for selection and then at the end when arjun defeated every one and Dronacharya challenged anyone from the audience to face arjun then karna showed up and there was a fierce fight and when Arjun summoned the Brahmastra , Karna summoned Bhargav aastra in response . Both the aastras were recalled as the day came to an end (surya aast). Bhisma's worst nightmare during the fight was the collision of those super powerful aastras as each of them hold powers to destroy the universe all by themselves.
