Your analysis missed a VERY IMPORTANT POINT ON PAK-AFGHAN TALIBAN RELATIONS: Pakistan's mistreatment of tens of thousands of Pashtuns over the years, calling them names, killing, jailing, beating up Pashtun youth etc. caused a lot of anger.
