we didn't become manufacturing power house but we are in much better place than 10 year ago make in india can be say help us to get avarage growth of 8 to 9 percent in manufacturing ( excluding covid 19 years) but not give growth like china of 15 to 20 percent which we see in 2010s and decline percentage of gdp of manufactruring is because of covid 19 out perform by sevice sector and china fdi ban

A major portion of our defense system is controlled by Russia and Israel, improved version of defense products is the contribution of their technology and science. U show some other manufacturing sector where India has really improved. To me Service Sector has much more improved in last few years though the intention of Make in India was to convert service into manufacturing. Outcome is just reverse of the intention.

You should also consider the proportion of rise in other sectors, our manufacturing sector grew but other sector grew faster coz they need less infra, and due to infra push in last decade they benefitted more

The most important criteria is we have establish a high quality Higher Education Environment for Technology and Science which is too poor. If our Best Quality Intellectual Labour Force migrate to USA and Europe for Higher Studies and Job, we will never be able to be a Manufacturering Hub, it will remain an utopian policy.

Costly education, not allocating sufficient funds for r & d . Neglected raw material level industry and small scale sector. Government failed to introduce new technologies in manufacturing. High taxes on consumer and manufacturing sector. Lengthy procedure to acquire licence in manufacturing sector. Bribes in government sector. Lack of proper talent pool due old education system. Educated youth unable to aquire new talent due to high cost in certified courses .

मेक इन इंडिया विफल रहा क्योंकि सरकार इसे जमीनी स्तर पर मजबूत बनाने में विफल रही। सरकार बुनियादी स्तर पर विफल रही - कच्चे माल के स्तर पर, लघु उद्योग क्षेत्र, मध्यम आकार के उद्योग। सरकार ने इसके लिए धन आवंटित नहीं किया। अनुसंधान एवं विकास के लिए पर्याप्त धनराशि आवंटित नहीं की गई।

Make in India is a total failure. As India is a trade surplus country in Service but trade deficit country in Marcentile, the intention was to convert service into manufacturing, outcome would be trade surplus in Marcentile, but reduction in trade surplus in Service. The last few years data shows that we could not improve much in Marcentile exports but we have improve much in Service Sector exports. So the outcome is just reverse of the intention. Our PM has no knowledge on such topics, so he should not be held responsible but I don't know who r those people who create such foolish utopian policy because without high quality technology we can't produce high quality manufactured items where as our best quality intellectual Labour force r being migrated to US and Europe.
