I used Google translate to sign up for a Gran Fondo in Verona Italy and I will never forget the memories of eating prosciutto and drinking flat coke with a bunch of cool Italian people in front of a mountainside vineyard. Events like this are worth planning trips around.

Looks fun. It's a non-competitive communal ride and all the better for that! Wine and food are essentials on this type of social riding. I'd be tempted to try it myself if I were in the vicinity.

Beautyful ride and finally you made it out into the spectacular area around Montserrat. A hike around Montserrat is very rewarding, maybe you go for it one day. This event looks a lot more appropriate for relaxed cyclists that DK 200 and it was a lot more fun to see this compared to the sweaty ride in a hurry.

Another question for you two, have you considered doing a touring video on the Priority 600 Bike? It seems it would have a number of features you'd like, the Pinion Gearbox system is a great alternative with its massive 600% gear range and the Gates Carbon Belt Drive to start with, plus others that would make long distance touring very convenient. Great scenery. I believe it is possible to cross Spain diagonally by unpaved roads. Not recommended in the summer though with 40C heat. Also, those up and downs, that's what makes gravel interesting and all of the gear range certainly gets used up while shifting almost every 30s. Looking at your bar-end shiters I wonder if they are pratical in such terrain where you have to get one hand off the steering to change gears, while going over rocks.
