Sorry..in obstructive jaundice there is yellowish discoloration of urine....so urobilinogen level is high

no, the dark yellow colour of the urine is not caused by increased urobilinogen levels but by high conjugated bilirubin levels in obstructive jaundice. Urobilinogen is completely absent in the urine, because due to the bile duct obstruction the conjugated bilirubin can not enter the bile duct and therefore it cannot be transported to the gut. In the gut the conversion from bilirubin to urobilinogen takes place. So, if it cannot enter the gut it cannot be converted to urobilinogen. Hope that helps to clear things up a bit :)

@@DocAA14 when its obstructed, the conjugated bilirubin is being pushed back to the liver and into the systemic circulation, hence the dark urine.
