After putting together and studying about 300 notecards and feeling like I learned absolutely nothing I finally caved and bought your program. Three videos in and I've learned more in 20 minutes than I have in the last week and a half. Thanks a bunch!

I'm so glad I found your site I'm a recently licensed EMT in a frontier ambulance service, we may only get one call a month at times so I don't see a lot of patients. I watch your videos regularly along with my study notes to stay informed and ready when the call does come. Thank you for what you do!!!!

My mother ended up having a Pulmonary Embolism and we didn’t know. She was sneezing non-stop for a whole day and had a headache then we flew to Tennessee and she felt a little worse and we flew back and I forced her to go to the doctor because she didn’t want to go and sure enough P.E. and the doctor told her she should be dead having flown twice.

Hi Evan! Love all the great videos! In this video, you mentioned how patients with the same condition can present in very different ways, including differences based on gender, age, etc. Do you have any advice on effectively recognizing and treating those patients with non-traditional presentations of illness or injury? Are there any good strategies to employ/questions to ask which reduce the risk of missing something important but not immediately obvious? Thanks!

What helps me is to get as many diagnostics as possible and then ask myself "What could be going on in the body here? What are these diagnostics trying to tell me?" Picture the flow of blood in the body and try to find the problem while you're on the way to the hospital

Don’t rule out heart attack if under 40. It’s possible. I had my first NSTEMI Type II MI at 34. I’m 40 and had 4 heart attacks. Another risk factor for PE is any implanted device. Pacemaker port picc line shunts. I had innumerable pe’s in both lungs last year from an infection in my port.

Great stuff, thank you. Out of curiosity why would tall & thin ppl be more prone to medical pneumothorax??

Hey Evan! Quick question. I have the lifetime access for your course and it’s absolutely amazing! I’m wondering if there’s a place where videos like this go in there or do we have to just watch them on KZbin? Thanks in advance

Thanks for the kind words brother! Public videos like this live on KZbin, the course videos are completely separate and organized by provider level in the course for member access.

It's a milder case of pneumonia, where the patient is able to function normallly with little to no symptoms. Just think a "milder case" of pneumonia. :)

If someone has a heart attacked caused by a blood clot, and CPR or an AED is enough to get them restarted, can they just have another heart attack? The clot is still there so what else is going on with it
