Mr. Kamal was suffering from carcinoma of the Right Alveolus and Buccal Mucosa. He was initially diagnosed in May 2018 with a non-healing mouth ulcer. He underwent surgery and radiation and was on follow-up; however, the cancer recurrence in Feb 2019. The patient then underwent chemotherapy. But post-completion of 6 cycles, he started having a throbbing headache. After that, he took consulted from Dr Meenu Walia, an Oncologist at Max Hospital, where after several tests and screening, we decided to give him chemotherapy. We started his 2nd line of chemotherapy, to which the patient responded very well. He responded well to the therapy, and today his disease is stable. His general condition is good, and he does his routine activities without any discomfort. He has also written a book in this while and is extremely fond of reciting poetry.
