The patina/rust on my 1968 Dodge Charger was kind of dull and I wanted to make it a little darker so it would contrast with the original blue paint! I have heard clear coating over patina can accomplish this but I was not ready to commit to a specific look yet. The boiled linseed oil made the rust a darker color and really made it stand out. I really like this look and the great thing is it is cheap and not permanent. After it sits for a few days, it will soak into the metal and become less "wet" looking but still keep vibrant color! I hope this video helps someone who wants to see what boiled linseed oil would do to a patina car. Please be safe while using this product as it is very flammable and dangerous!
