We live in Ireland and we have a front garden with three flowerbeds, fifty two containers of perennials and six pots of annuals on the front windowsills. My wife has no interest in gardening and tells me it looks like a mini garden centre. In the back garden there is a glasshouse with tomatoes and peppers and raised beds with veg and greens. I water the front and back garden with a watering can and just give the plants enough water to keep them going and to conserve water. I retired this year and I know as I get older I will have to get a hose to water the plants.
