I've just discovered your channel. Wow! It is exactly what I have been looking for. I am trying to transform my home into a more minimalist style. I have been painting & redecorating for the past three years; very slow & steady. I've become quite good at assembling IKEA furniture. It is so time consuming to declutter a life-time of "stuff" but it is happening. I am a retired nurse and I'm doing all the work myself. And..... I live with cats; many of them. Hi again Benita, I love your catio/patio! You have such a lovely variety of plants, and when everything grows in, you'll have almost complete privacy. Tell me - is your neighbourhood very busy/noisy? It looks like it's actually quite quiet, but that might be just the day that you filmed. I also love your garden furniture, very stylish. We have a very small back yard - most of it is taken up by the deck that my husband built on the back of the house. That's where we have some containers with herbs and tomatoes. The rest of the yard is grass - my husband is not a gardener, but he loves mowing the lawn!

It can be quite noisy actually! There are buses running constantly and I hear birds and seagulls all the time. I used to sleep with my window open but woke up a lot so now I got a fan and close the window at night so I can sleep😅

Thank you! The plants are mostly clematis, ivy, lilacs, hostas, ferns and lady's mantle. The herbs are oregano, thyme, chives, parsley and dill. Also have a lavender and a hydrangea and them there's the non-invasive bamboo.
