Mr Q... When my late father of last new years day (first one without him) bought me Christmas Nights on saturn - that was the most magical xmas of my childhood.... Absolutely amazing product by sega... Right now its xmas morning, im in my dad's house mortgage free with a very healthy bank balance, opening presents with my daughter, sitting where i would sit, but as a nod to dad, ive emulated xmas nights on the living room tv... .... And here comes the single tear...

My parents bought me every single TMNT figure one year for Christmas...except for April O'Neil. My mother didn't think that I would want the "girl toy". Fast forward to 2024, and that April figurine is one of the more valuable ones from that year. Dang it, mom! 😂

Getting the Sears catalogue was an actual event. Kids these days will never understand the joy of finding one left on the front porch. The best way I can explain it to this younger generation is that it was like having the entire Amazon website, but in book form. Damn I miss those days.

Here in the UK we had the same thing with the Kays & Argos catalogues! I’d go through it marking off Star Wars play sets & GI Joe vehicles!

In my house, the yearly Christmas catalogs were Montgomery Ward and Spiegel. I loved going straight to the toy section in the center and looking at all the stuff.

Christmas Nights was a very important expansion to the game, as one of its unlockables was an app to keep track of the game's A-life system and find out whether or not your questing had left the little AI creatures in each of the levels unharmed, utterly decimated, or hideously mutated. I heard tell with enough mutant creatures you can breed unholy super mutants with enough persistence, but never succeeded (though I did succeed in one stage at completely eradicating all "pure" nightopians in favour of a dominant freak strain).

Well, I'm a day late... but yesterday was busy. Usually is for my brother and I, being the only surviving adults... it's pretty much all on us! Anyway... Ahh, the catalogs... Service Merchandise, Montgomery Ward, Sears, and J.C. Penny were the catalogs of my childhood in the 80's... I always got at least one present from one or the other of them. They do bring back very fond, warm memories... and not just of Christmas, but birthdays as well! Your videos have a similar effect... the topics up for discussion, the games, the game MUSIC? Pure nostalgia, my friend... and I prefer to live in that town. Thank you for being the best mayor Nostalgia Town ever had! Merry Christmas, Pat and Family!

I got my C64 for Christmas along with a Datasette (I didn't know anything about disks and thought all computers primarily used tapes), and a Pinball Spectacular cartridge. The following Christmas, I got a 1541 floppy drive and the games Archon, and Archon II: Adept. A Christmas after that, I got all four of Lucasfilm's games, Rescue on Fractalus, The Eidolon, Koronis Rift and Ballblazer. As for Christmas themed games, there's an excellent series of puzzle games on the C64 called Santa's Workout. The four game was just released a short while ago, and is a sort of Lemmings inspired game where you have to guide Santa and the elves to the exit by using skills to change what they do. There's also Santa's Troubles, a platform game where you have to recover stolen gifts from houses.

Little known fact of jazz jack rabbit, just like mario it started out life as something else to middle finger sega lol Sega: Only OUR CONSOLE can run sonic! *sonic gets made for the amiga* Also Sega: Don't you dare tell anyone this and don't you dare release it! it will show we are liars and getting people to buy our shiddy plastic trash with a computer chip inside it!! And that kids is how jazz jack rabbit was made, just like commander keen and mario ^^ Always remember: You are an idiot for buying a console, and the company counts on it.
