Thanks Chad, Cocoon was pretty nice, the place that I stayed for 18 days before my wife Lene came over was awesome because of the pool. It is called The Album Loft on Nanai Rd. Was about $18Aud per night with AC and a pool. Lovely staff also. Prices are soooooo different in low season. There are some fantastic long stay bargains to be had. Get over to Phuket mate, it's mint!!!👌👌👌👌👌 Cheers Simon

I got a Question, How did you get the $8 Rates? Expedia is showing me $74 a night including Tax and Fees. I notice a LOT of Thailand Hotels have a "Advertised Rate" then they have Taxes and Fees which amount to MORE than Double the Room Rate??

Hi Mark, As it shows in the video, 300Thb or $8.60 is the daily rate in US Dollars for a stay of 28days or more DURING THE LOW SEASON at the Cocoon Patong, which was the whole point of the vid, to show how cheap it is when nobody is visiting. I have just checked Google maps and the Cocoon has day rates from $29 Aud or $20US for a single night stay tomorrow on booking.com. You will never get an $8 room in peak season mate. If you want to stay longer than 28 days, send the hotel an email asking for a long term rate. Hope this helps. Cheers Simon👌👌🍻🍻

I can't show screenshots on these responses. Check Google maps, find the Cocoon at Patong, type in the dates that you want to stay and scroll down through the various accommodation provider prices. The prices vary daily, depending on the season. Tomorrow may be $30 per night, the 2nd week of January may be $40 per night. Simple supply and demand!!!

Full moon party is on Koh Phangan on NYE, not sure about Phi Phi. Phangan is next to Koh Samui, so spend minimum time on Phangan and enjoy Samni. Book early for the ferry to Phangan from Samui.
