Agree that Jesse Jagz and Brymo's albums have been the best so far (of course if we exclude Asa and Femi Kuti) but Pato seems refreshingly close. Hopefully his label allows him more creative control

Segun Emmanuel Exactly my point, cause most of the time the labels just want to make money(cant blame though) that explains why jesse and brymo did very good albums...freedom to really express themselves not just money chasing albums....and you made a good point about excluding Asa and Femi Kuti. I still dont feel comfortable referring to Asa as a nigerian artist and Femi Kuti na baba not in this peoples league.. :D

+simplyannika you do realize that it is African music that influenced west Indian music. However I will agree that there are African artist who have fashioned their sound to that of reggae, especially dancehall. But everyone knows that Africa has been the basis of so may different forms of music, style and fashion. My Dad jokes that Jamaicans are descendants of Nigerians.
