I read something the other day about Steve McClaren joking with Marcus Rashford that he was going to score the winner in a 5-a-side - McClaren was then shocked at Rashford's reaction, which was something along the lines of telling him not to put pressure on him. I'm sure the current crop of players are lovely lads - good fathers, nice blokes, whatever - but to be an elite-level player you need to be a killing machine.

The era where great players with drive and attitude wins is no more, look at how the 2009 Utd team got beat by Barca. We need functional players that can fit in a good system. What Utd lacked all these years is a good recruitment structure. If Ed Woodward was still around, we would have signed and paraded Tony Kroos and Modric instead of a modern midfield. No serious team will rely on a forward line that is inexperienced plus Rashford.

Ok let's get real. If United would have appointed Arteta 4yrs ago, they would have sacked him by now because they do not support managers through rough patches which leads to your players deliberately putting in poor performances on the pitch. Bruno is not a leader or captain only an Arsenal fan will say that. Pat is right that boy has no discipline, he plays no position he just runs around and always gives the ball away. He and Rashford are a major problem in that team. They are simply not not good enough for Man UTD quality.

Have you ever thought bruno runs around aimlessly because the players around him are lazy? He tries to cover every blade of grass on the pitch. I’ve always said it, Bruno is not capable of carrying the ball, I’ve seen him dribble and he dribbles like a 14 year old who’s been playing football for a year, and he knows his own capabilities, he cuz if this tends to release the ball. But guys don’t forget he’s a CAM, CAM’s main job is to create chances not carry and control like a CM, modric rodri, busquets, De Jong. Main problem is that a lot of United goals come from Bruno rushing the ball forward so we became a counter oriented team rather than possession. If United buys a player who is a ball carrier and could control, trust me it would change so much. Only if De Jong wasn’t that demanding, then Bruno wouldn’t need to be the only player to have the most touches

Bruh I live in Hawaii. Small chain of islands in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. I have to wake up at 2:30-4:30 am and if I’m lucky it’s the “late” game which is a 6:30 am game for me here. I would get up early for those games for year man. Because I love this club I love United. Hasn’t always been great stuff but this past year including the start of this season has me so tilted and depressed, I can’t even get up for those games anymore. I’d rather not as it would crush my entire day and turn it into a massively tiring and depressing day. This team should be fighting for that top 4. Obviously we were never going to come close to the consistency it takes to win but top 4 shouldn’t have ever been a stretch. That man had almost 3 years to instill his philosophy into this team. They look almost hopeless at times out there. Ten Hag’s “in game adjustments” never made much sense. His subs never worked. But the thing that made me the most upset was listening to his bullshit excuses time and time again. It was always “injuries and injustice and VAR and blah blah blah”. It was basically ANYTHING other that himself and his decisions. I just want to hear honesty from a manager. Loser’s mentality is absolutely spot on
