I am a flight attendant. On one of my night flights, I decided to serve tea and coffee in the main cabin as we had finished service in business class. I served tea to one guest seated towards the rear of the aircraft. He told me;" It's a pleasure to be served by you". Out of 145 passengers!!! I have never forgotten his smile, his unique complexion and his comment!!! In my heart I believe it was Jesus!!!

I was a intellectual christian for so long, when I finally broke and needed more than head knowledge of the scriptures and books and books of theology, God showed me his love in person. In the last year I have seen 7 visions. I know God personally now. Not as a fan, but as his child. The supernatural is a reality, if you can renew your mind. I remember years ago there was a guy running around teaching people how to run in the Spirit. This was before Rodney Howard Brown who got a big movement going called laughing in the Spirit. This guy would run around the church and scream victory. Then one night he decided he was going to enter a new level in his spiritual journey. He close his eyes totally giving himself over to the Spirit. He ran into a balcony pole and ended up in the hospital. Eventually these people run into reality.

I’ve seen a bolt of lightning come in my room. No lightning though. I had the fear and The Lord. I said oh Lord go easy! Was too frightened to look. I missed it! At 67 you are still young brother. Moses didn't start his ministry until he was 80. Go find a part time job doing something. Pray and ask and think and see who needs a little help here or there. Keep moving! Another thing that is extremely helpful is to practice thanks-giving. I said "practice" because sometime we don't feel like giving thanks... but there is always something to be thankful for. Speaking out thanks to the lord (and to others for who they are and what they do) is health giving and refreshing to the soul. Speak out 10 things that you are thankful for right now. Maybe it's just that you found another bit of coffee when you thought you were all out. Or the beauty of a branch outside your window. And we can always, always, every day thank Him for the cross - without which you, and I, and every human being would only get the hell that our sins deserve forever. Well there is only one way to have those manifestations to be known to you. That is to seek God whole heatedly! If you notice the Apostles in the New Testament never give as a remedy the need to be baptized in the Spirit to deal with the sin and problems in the Church. They never told the Corinthians that they needed to learn how to access the Spirit realm to walk in power. You never see altar calls and fifty verses of "Just as I am". These self styled preachers don't communicate in a way that reflects the language used by the apostles. There are many false prophets that have gone out into the world.

Have you ever noticed how many people want to be prophets? The role of a prophet was not a sexy position in the Old Testament. Jonah ran from his calling. Why? Because the prophets had to tell Israel and people things that put their lives on the line. Often they had to run and hide because they spoke the truth of peoples sinfulness to them and exposed their corporate idolatries. Can you imagine this Bobby guy going to Nineveh and teaching them how to access the Spirit Realm?

Joseph Smiths a lot in common with this Bobby Guy. Joseph claimed he went into the woods and that God the father and Jesus appeared to him and that all the churches were an abomination and that all their creeds and confessions were all wrong. So I guess a lot of people are easily impressed with a claim that Jesus appeared to them. Not me. When people tell me that Jesus appeared to them the red alarms start going off in my head. There is nothing new under the sun. Same thing over and over.

My motive is to exalt the scripture as the standard by which I think about my faith. The Bible defines for me what I am to believe. I don't need a modern Prophet like Bobby or Patricia King etc. Every commentary and Systematic Theology book that has been written for 1850 years agrees with what I am saying. If people would read good theology books and learn systematic theology they would not be so easily deceived by all the false prophets running around. If you want a prophet join the Mormon Church. All cults maintain the claim of a modern prophet who is going to reveal to you the deep secret things of God.
