"Arioso" for flute and piano (originally oboe and harpsichord) by Patricia Morehead, performed by flutist Vicki Blechta and pianist Philip Morehead. "Arioso" is a lyrical piece for solo instrument and harpsichord which begins non-tonally and moves into neo-romantic style in the harpsichord and neo-baroque gestures in the solo instrument. It was composed at the request of Joyce Turner Hilkevitch for a concert in Chicago under the auspices of Mostly Music featuring harpsichord virtuoso Jory Vinikour.
