Been jamming to this all day now and I'm still trying to pinpoint what I like about it so dang much. Something about the mix of chiptune and glitch elements reminds me of Splatoon's music, but I can't say why I like that stuff so dang much either so that doesn't help me narrow it down much lol. Call me a pleb but nothing gets me more interested in an album than just like one single I end up sinking into. @@quantumblauthor7300 for clarification, my original reading of the song was of these two characters meeting. The end of the first verse into the chorus made me think this "The nuttiness with the tang, a little bit a grace Gold grenade in this place Historically glistening carapace Bodacious babe, get a look at her face! Special! Call me crazy call me slow..." Reads kinda like a call and response due to the pitch difference. And the little: "Who made the moon that pulchritudinous silver? She must have bought that shade from a market in Peru Can’t help but look upon her multitudinous trinkets I always wish that I could have that attitude" reads like sapphic yearning to me. You said somewhere that it's the same volume as the rest of the song at 00:37, it's just clipped, but clipped sounds are actually somewhat louder than unclipped ones. The fundamental of a square wave is louder than a sine wave of the same amplitude because the extra harmonics fold the fundamental down (it's louder by 4/pi or about ~1.27 times). The harmonics also add energy to the sound, which can increase perceived loudness. Doesn't seem that much louder to warrant a warning to me, though.
