Thanks for the video! I started playing wheelchair basketball some months ago and have started to practice with a team here in Italy. This video gives me great ideas for what to practice on in the gym :) Whenever I take on a new activity or sport I always like to look at the players performing at the highest level to learn. It didn't take a lot of research to understand who the top dog was in wheelchair basketball. Thanks again for putting this out there! :)

Hi pat. I have been playing WCB for 6 months now (I am 13) and I believe that the only things that I'm struggling with is dribbling and shooting. I find dribbling difficult because its hard to push and bounce the ball at the same time without it hitting my chair, my hand eye corridination is not that good-I have Cerebral palsy which causes this. I find that I am able to dribble in practice but not in a game, I panic and end up losing it. I am just the same in shooting, I can get it in in practice almost every time but not in a game. My coach says its a confidence thing, I want to do really well but when I look at the other players on my team in matches, I realise that they can do it better than me and end up passing it to them all the time without really thinking. I don't want to fail and look like a fool. According to my coach I am excellent at defence, I feel much more confident in defence I can call out without any worries, direct my team. But attacking is different. And how I don't know. Do you have any support or experience on these matters?

+Patrick Anderson inspiration. im trying to make team canada for wheelchair ball but im im only 15 so im not that good yet. im going to the u19 camp in Toronto on the 21st so that should help alot! i also play with liam hickey whos on the national team now as u may know. i live in Newfoundland so theres not that much skill to practice with but i try to pick up on videos such as thsese so keep them coming!
