No it wasn't. He put too much emphasis on guarding one side of the ball, got blown by, and Harden inadvertently, but CONVENIENTLY lost the ball. He didn't poke the ball loose or anything. Statistically, speaking... Beverly isn't even in the top 15 in the league guarding the ball 1 on 1 allowing exactly 1.03 PPP (pts per possession) a game. He gets highlighted because he gives the APPEARANCE of good defense with his tenacity AT TIMES, which most of the time is a foul. Which is why he gets cooked every game.
