Absolutely. His turnaround should be mentioned with Hakeem, Dirk, MJ, Kobe, and now that we have tremendous of footage and audio, Wilt Chamberlin. Ewing was so smooth.

Me too! I believe if they could have traded Starks for someone like Stockton or Penny Hardaway, they would have been Champs, Starks could be amazing, but he would also go ice cold and continue to launch shots. Could you imagine the pick and roll game between Ewing and Stockton?

@@Jonesmalone562 trades were harder to maneuver in the 90s. Stars don’t get traded unless they breaking down so getting Stockton would never have happened. But they def could have gotten better pieces around Patrick.

@@NayaWrap absolutely brother, and it made the game much better, because you had chemistry on every team, now these teams they think they can slap three or four Mega franchise type players on one team and that's all they need, that isn't how to build a basketball team I'm sorry, that's why teams like the Spurs and now Denver are The Way Forward, because they're not just jumping at everything, they are building with the talent they have and adding a piece here and there accordingly.

Being from Houston, we loathed the teams that gave us problems, Knicks, Supersonics, Jazz, etc. Of the teams I always wanted Ewing to get a ring, not against us of course, but because Ewing played the game with a warrior mentality. That was the Golden Era of centers and Ewing was one of the few that gave Dream the business.

Like all shooters, Ewing was having the occasional off-night. But like all champions, he came through in the end, with play after play. It's really a fluke that he never got that ring. I'll always wonder about the Knicks season the NBA bureaucrats ended in 1997, benching Ewing, Starks, Johnson, Ward, and Houston over two games and letting the Heat regain the momentum and advance in the Eastern Conference, only to get gored (nearly swept, 4-1) by Jordan's Bulls. That was the year I truly thought the Knicks had the Bulls' number. But we'll never know.
