exactly. Collin is just wrong here. Andy Reid did nothing for how many years? He gets bank roll and top talent at WR, TE, and QB and decent RBs and now all the sudden he is the best thing ever? No - they have an amazingly expensive offense. Just like when he said MJ and Pippen. That team was stacked too with talent. Who does the Bills have on offense beside Steffon Diggs? literally nobody anyone knows. And it came down to a coin flip.

@@jmroz311 your goofy.. Andy Reid has always been a winning coach and has gotten his team's to the play offs and championship rounds 90 percent of the time. As elite as Russell Wilson is, (he’s the closest to Allen and Mahomes) the arm talent, ability to avoid sacks and scramble are not on the level as Mahomes and Allen, who most experts (and people with working eyes) say have the two strongest arms ever in the league. Same with there feet: there are things that Mahomes and Allen do running AND avoiding sacks that make them more of a threat than Wilson Allen’s style of running may different from guys like MICHAEL VICK (how’d you not name him but name Luck,RG3 and Kaprenick?) , RG3, Wilson, Mahomes or Lamar, but he’s still elite! He has a Derek Henry style of running instead of a Vick, Lamar or Randell Cunningham style. He’s a big, fast, physical guy with smooth moves. Mahomes is illusive in a backyard football sorta way that’s harder to describe. His last second escapability is elite, yet it’s hard to describe. His style of illusiveness looks so smooth and effortless that, after the initial shock and awe, you notice how oddly natural he made it look. That aspect of his illusiveness: when he escapes the inescapable in a way that looks unnatural, and yet he couldn’t look more natural doing it…..in a backyard football kinda style, timing me off Barry Sanders. Not saying that Mahomes runs like Barry. Just saying that he has a similar backyard, instinctive, feel to the way they dominate. Now, when it comes to the act of actual running, Mahomes waddles, isn’t exceptionally fast or pretty getting from point A to B, and looks nothing like Barrry. I’d even say that Wilson is better at the act of running than Mahomes, but Mahomes’s ability to avoid sacks and escape are far better than Wilson’s. As these young qbs, only 26 and 25 yrs old, get better and continue to refine their combination of elite running ability to go with the strongest arm in the history of the league, they appear to have grown into two huge juggernauts that are approaching a level that is completely unstoppable. When these two raw talents reach their full potential AND increase their CONSISTENCY, then I believe that effect that these two will have on defenses around the league, forcing them to completely change the way they draft, plan and pay D, will be more of a shift than what Brady and Manning caused. Definitely more of a soft than any of these other QBs you named

No...Kaepernick/RG 3 were briefly very effective because NFL defenses hadn’t adjusted to the Read Option...neither developed into even average NFL passers. Luck/Wilson were both awesome but have very different styles/bodies/pedigrees. Allen/Mahomes look like the two most electric players in the history of the position. We already know Mahomes is a HOFer with a possible second ring this year and Allen has developed into a player who’s every bit as good.

I think the rams bucs game was hugely determined by mcvay his aggressiveness was the difference he said "we might be stumbling fumbling bumbling our way through this game so far but I trust my guys to get it done with 30 seconds." It took arians off guard when they got that sack they expected them to stand pat and kneel but mcvay shocked him and it led to the game winning points

I am not a betting man but if I was I would nearly 100% guaranteed that if the Rams would of let that go to OT they would of lost. Brady's second half nearly proves that. The Bucs came back so you know damn well Brady WAS NOT losing that if you give him just one more chance.

I am sorry but lets say this did in fact go to OT and Bucks did not recieve the ball first. Rams win. And if the bucks recieve I seen field goal at best. Rams win with a 6 play drive. Tom was bad. Again 4 lost fumbles and still win is more impressive. Tom is old that O line and recieving core beat up......lets not forget the bucks are 0-4 in the reg against a div rival and they were healthy at that time.

I'd argue that Namath, Staubach and Stabler were the 1st iteration/evolution of game changing QBs, then comes Elway, Marino & company. Those guys in the late 60s early 70s were slinging, scrambling, swaggering innovators who changed the way defenses had to prepare for playing against them. Plus, those guys were often allowed and encouraged to call their own plays in the huddle and audible out of plays at the LOS. * How did I forget Tarkenton.. I might be a little older than you too, though, Cowherd.

Colin’s perhaps caught up in the moments after a truly great game, went with his emotions, but it’s actually a QB EVOLUTION V3.3. The third evolution was the dual threat mobile quarterback circa late 1999/2000. With all due respect to Tarkenton/Young/Cunningham, it was the emergence of the truly mobile/elusive/lightning quick 4.36/40 speed Micheal Vick that revolutionized the position. Not only did he have a quick release accurate long arm, he had the speed to outrun DBs and safeties. Add to that his legendary elusiveness and you had a brand new type of iconic quarterback that influenced the next generation of QBs. Russel Wilson was part of the undersized, fast and elusive gen V3.2, and the current crop like Lamar Jackson, Mahomes, Kyler Murray, and even Josh Allen are the V3.3. None of them would exist today if it wasn’t for Micheal Vick. Love him or hate him, he is the OG of V3.

I have to disagree with the piece about the advantages for Mahomes over Allen. We've seen the league adapting to how to play against Mahomes and Andy's high octane offense, forcing the more mathotical Patrick. So the more the league figures out how to deal with the intangibles that he brings in the shorter to mid field throws, you'll see more of the need for that defensive coach to not let leads slip away or games be too close against lesser competition. I see Allen and the Bills taking the match up more times down the line because of the defensive coaching to back Allen the way Bill backed Tom, all those years in New England. Yes, we'll see the occasional storming back from Mahomes like that classic Manning comeback against Brady. But I see Josh Allen being the top dog for the generation to come
