The thing is that it's more than *just* the deep ball. Anyone can throw a ball deep, but not as many can do that while running, pressure in their face, about to get smacked by a defender, cross-body and still be accurate enough for a receiver to be able to not only flex his speed and outrun corners and safeties, but also to get a hand in there without needing to move heaven and earth to get his body in position. That's the magic of Patrick Mahomes and these throws.

I'm 4 minutes into this clip and I've only seen one pass that was actually elite, the rest are throws that are completed to either wide open receivers or because tyreek hill is the fastest player we've ever seen. This is why i dont rate mahomes as high as others, the team around him has been absolutely elite. Go watch a best passes video on Rodgers or Manning and you'll see what i mean

because tyreek hill wanted to be paid way too much after adams got paid. at some point you have to manage a salary cap. it's a risk but if the new talent the chiefs brought in helps us win, it will extend the super bowl window and help other guys get paid. and when you have an elite QB, you need to be willing to let greedy WRs go, no matter how good they are. mahomes will make it work.

Josh Allen is really good but Mahomes is still better. In four years, Mahomes has played 11 playoff games, and he’s won 8 of them. Josh Allen has 3 playoff wins. Mahomes has 2 conference championships in 4 conference appearances. I like Allen but he doesn’t have any. More career comebacks down 10 points. Mahomes has torched the Bills defense twice and the Bills D is way better than the Chiefs D too. Overall Mahomes is better than Allen.
