I was a hula student a lifetime ago before I got married and had a kid. It was so much fun! Also, Patrick if you read this you were always so kind, even if I was out of step. I live in h South Bay now and wish there was a class like yours. Huge Congrats and so, so well deserved 😍👏🙌🫶

Love the title cultural preservationist even more than I love Kumu hula. Well-done sir, well-dome. I am blessed to be a haumana of Kumu Rick, whom you Uniki'd, and to have taken a few Kumu Robert & your classes in December. Hoping those return.

It's interesting that he says even in Hawaii the hula schools are mixed. I am a part-timer in Hawaii and when I expressed interested in learning I was told in no uncertain terms that I would not be accepted as a white person.
